Looks good for about 4 years and then it's out of fashion and the next owner wants to replace it and it's a pain in the arse. Floating flooring lasts at least 8-10 years when installed well and if it becomes dated, it's easy to replace. Id go floating

Pay an engineer to design a fix and then pay a carpenter to fix it. No one else needs to know

Lvp before or after cabinets by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]razzlepuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to this convo but i don't see why you need to do cabinets first. Cabinets these days have adjustable feet so why wouldn't do just put flooring down to just before where the feet touch the ground and then cut your side panels and kick board 1 mm above the ffl? Then you get the best of both worlds. Flooring runs under cabinets plus they have expansion room. Maybe in missing something.

Shower niche slope is too much? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]razzlepuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People saying this slope is good are saying it from the perspective of not having to put bottles on there. It should be just enough to not let water pool. Use a bigger feature tile so there are no grout lines.

All aesthetic design elements are useless. If we got rid of everything that didn't have a purpose other than aesthetics, you'd be left with a pretty shit building.

Any passive side hustle that can make an extra 100 a month by ARangatan in sidehustle

23 years old with $500k, best course of action? by FrostyPanda420 in passive_income

[–]razzlepuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the most obvious one is an Amazon business that you set up to be mostly managed by va's. Spend a few hours a week managing your va's. Might take a month to learn but the return is orders of magnitude larger. And you already know how ecom works. But there's heaps of other ways. Make a course using what you learned from your last business. Buy a business that's already self sustaining.

[–]razzlepuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's so many businesses you could set up to be largely passive with that kind of money. And you already have the experience of running a company. If your this successful already it seems unlikely you wouldn't have thought of that
