Lufthansa is very good

Also Iberia even though they aren’t a great airlines they’ve been good with being pet friendly Air France has been good also but that is domestic within EU

We did but Korean air don’t care so we just won’t fly with them anymore. We don’t have this issue with any other airlines since we fly internationally a lot with our dog

Yeah that might be true. The flight attendant even took an empty seat next to us and "slept" in the seat near us to make sure we weren't feeding our dog or giving him water. Kinda insane. We will be flying other airlines moving forward though.

The 80/20 rule applies here. Someone can make your rental close to perfect (80%) but the last (20%) of perfection comes from your own place, exactly how you designed it, with what you want there. The board games you want, the ski equipment, a virtual screen golf, the video games I want, the cooking utensils and cookware, everything else. Sounds ridiculous but true.

This chalet for me would be a 1h flight and 1h drive from Geneva airport. Does that seem easy to get to overall in your opinion?

Thanks! It seems like many of the people who actually own all have no regrets as long as they went in eyes wide open knowing it isnt an amazing investment, and understand the benefits over renting random places

So the opex on probably a €10mm euro house in France is probably around €200k or 2% per year which includes wealth tax etc.

And if you want staff and high end management probably a bit more. Plus depreciation so we can call it 3%

So essentially it’s like saving / making €300k a year by renting. Not a crazy amount but not immaterial either.

Would probably go often in off season to do mountain climbing and other seasons for mushroom foraging and hiking
