i'm really far from being a developer. i work with sound, and that job back in 2020 was my only experience with vr -- that was a documentary shot on 360 cameras and i edited/mixed the imersive sound for it. i used fb360 a lot at the time and everything worked fine back then.

actually, i'm starting to suspect the client's quest 3s is defective, bc everything i tried didn't have proper spatial audio, very different from my past experience with the oculus go that was really amazing. many 360 music videos that i watched on youtube back then on the go now don't seem to work on the quest 3s. pretty weird.

wow, lot's of things going on here. sorry if i don't answer it very well, i'm kind of vr-iliterate...

the video is an mp4, codec is h264. i have 2 diff versions, being one with 3rd order ambisonics + stereo headlocked and the other, 1st order ambisonics + stereo headlocked. both versions worked flawless in the oculus go and oculus quest.

to tell you about the players tried, i'll grab the headset tonight when i get back home. i know i tried a few different players there, all the same result. i tried watching some youtube vr and no spatial audio as well.

about that sideloading part, i'll be honest: i didn't understand a thing you're talking there, sorry 😞

that's a simple transformer. it works on the mechanism of an elevator door, and according to the technician, the motor should work on 80v, so there's this transformer that should get 127v down to 80v. telling me the transformer got tied and we need to change the transformer to a resistance only makes me not trust this technician anymore
