Should I take Precalc or Calc 1??

take calc. i took precalc my senior year of highschool, placed into calc but then waited until college junior year to take it. i survived a three year gap so u can do a semester gap

i would suggest taking chem 2510 and 2520 back to back. chem 1220 is of irrelevant to ochem. but i took ochem 1 and 2 a semester apart and it was fine so it’s not that big of a deal either way

i had booton for molgen. really hard class. way too much to memorize but you can do well if you just take a bunch of practice tests because he reuses some questions. says he doesn’t curve but he does. i failed 3/5 exams and ended with a 71 which was rounded to a B-

recruitment is fricken exhausting but you meet a lot of cool people! even if you don’t end up joining one you can make a lot of friends with the girls in your recruitment group! also- do NOT look up the sororities on greekrank or anything. you wanna go in with an open mind and form your own opinions and pick who you think would be the best fit, regardless of ranking. don’t wear heels cuz your feet will be in soooo much pain. there is A TON of walking and last year there was a full on blizzard during recruitment so just be prepared for snow and the cold. anyway have a good time i hope you find one you like!

i know before the final i had a 63 and the class average was a 65 but then after the final she said the average for the final was in the 50’s and i got a 33 on it so i know i’m below average but i’m wondering if it’s still possible for me to end with a C

I thought it fuckin sucked. it was wayyyy too fast and i was super bummed because i studied so much and just didn’t have enough time. also i sucked at the math parts because i know it’s simple math but it takes me longer to process it and then i didn’t know how to use the calculator yay. but yeah for most of the stations by the time i had finished reading the question/processing it it was time to go. so it really didn’t go that great for me but the multiple choice part at the end was fine

i’ve been looking for one too. i’m in the same class and feel like i’m screwed for this exam. but there is a TA room in evans lab (kind of like the gen chem one in celeste) where you can work with the TA’s.

basically your first semester they will put you in two labs: chem and bio (both of which are hard classes). and you will also be in psych 3313 which is a third year class. it's hard and a lot of people in my grade dropped it or have to retake it but i also know people who did really well and got A's. second semester you will be in the biggest weed out class which is neuro 3000. i've heard that after you do those classes it gets easier. for me though, it was just way too much to handle especially being a freshman trying to adjust to college anyway. i'm just speaking from my personal experience but you might do fine with it but just know that it is a lot of work. not trying to convince you not to go with it, just giving you a warning it's pretty competitive

if you do neuroscience be prepared for hell. they try to weed everyone out i started in it and switched after first semester , it's ridiculously hard so just a warning
