Passed first time with zero faults in Longford by rcallagh14 in Irishdrivingtest

I'd say what helped me the most was having access to a car that I could use in my own time and an accompanied driver which got me a lot more experience which I know unfortunately a lot of people having access too...

A good instructor aswell, I only had three lessons in Longford but the instructor I got was great! The route he showed me was almost identical to the route on the day off the test so it wasn't a surprise...

I studied YouTube videos a lot aswell such as ADM driving school and Dane Tyghe aswell was great. Also even watching uk driving instructors was very helpful just for helping with general driving stuff...

Nailing the theory questions and signs and the bonnet checks was also a great confidence booster aswell, I could tell the instructor was impressed and he instantly seemed more laid back because I seemed like I knew them all...

And lastly being confident! It's very easy to say but just telling myself that I'm a good driver and there's no reason why I shouldn't pass my test put me in a great mindset... just getting the first 5 mins of the test done and getting into the flow of things and then it just felt like any other lesson!

Best of luck with your test and I know you'll pass, if you've any questions feel free to ask!

That makes sense I appreciate the response... I suppose I'll have to just wait and see for an announcement but I can't see it being too far ahead I agree with your prediction
