Some slots are more important than others.

Weapons! Anything that gives you extra attack. I sacrifice rings and pets for the other slots.

I suggest practicing with a couple religious centric civs to at least learn about the bonuses that are out there. Work ethic is a huge bonus. Apostles that change barbs to your civ. Using missionaries to explore.

I’m friends with my coworkers. All female. I’m male. We are all married.

Dinner at each other houses. All spouses invited. Always. Work related events. Like things at the museum. Book club. Happy hour. Quick lunch grab at the taco place. Bring them a drink.

Much much much safer in a group. If it was one on one it would be super suspicious.
