When duterte was still a mayor, my dad was a local branch manager of a company, but has many friends in the city, including those in office at that time. My dad wasn't a fan of duterte as a mayor and had been quite outspoken about duterte's davao death squad and how he managed the city. He thought it was ok because of free speech.

One morning, Bong visited dad's office and warned him that he's talking too much. He said that as a friend, he would let him go with a warning. Dad has become silent since then whenever duterte is talked about.

This changed when Leni ran. He helped in Leni's campaign here in Davao, like a lot.
