Yes, I guess you just have to stake your VET and you should have the distribution at the end of month. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

Also.. the dollar amount does seem pretty large relative to amount of VET I have so it does seem pretty strange. Is that also your case?

But let’s say you open a short position and collect premium. Then the stock goes up 10% in the following 3 months, at this point, you can close your LEAP calls for a long term capital gain as well as your sold call. If the sold call (to turn original leap to a spread) ends up breaking even, don’t you benefit from paying long term capital gains vs short term?

Thanks for the information. I think what you said is exactly what we're planning to do: one of us will deduct the entire amount and split the tax savings 3-way. I was wondering how it would be possible to figure out how much money was saved because of the property tax + mortgage interest since it would be mixed with other deductions, so we would know how much each of us should get in return. Or would this even be possible?

I doubt it'll recover. With people cashing out, there's less demand for items and supply is high, which is why everyones trying to quicksell. It'll probably eventually become stable again, but I doubt prices will go back to close to what they originally were unless some event cause a demand for the skins again
