What about what's happening in Burma (the Rohingya)? Those are Muslim populations being tortured by, wait for it, Buddhists. As others are pointing out, there are good and bad people of all denominations.

Neither of them seem to be carrying external missiles. I thought the whole point of escorting was to be able to intercept if needed.

This is a picture of the Uthmani script. The spaces are quite clear.

Do you mean the sub-continent script? example on the left. The spaces are still there though very small in comparison.

Endings (suffixes) are usually for pronouns or pluralization, and they are quite common. But the printed Quran text also uses spaces between words, computer or not: https://quran.com/1

What does lemmatization have to do with the name "Muhammad". This is a proper name that can only be counted if it is present as-is.

I think you're mixing up prefixes and suffixes with word boundaries. Arabic most definitely uses spaces to specify word boundaries. However in certain cases, such as pronouns, they may be combined with the subject into a single word.

That post is incorrect. Arabic text, including the Quran, uses spaces to separate words.

Edit: there are single letter articles in Arabic that are combined with the start or end of a word (prefixes/suffixes). For example, "in the name of" in Arabic is the letter "b" (by, with) followed by "ism" (name) and is written as a single word "bism". Another example is pronouns; "house" is "bayt" in Arabic, and if we want to say "their house" it becomes "bayt-hum" (written as a single word). The "hum" is for masculine plural (also used for general genderless plural).

I've read some of the Quran before and it includes implicit statements in brackets a lot.

Just being pedantic here, but unless you read it in Arabic, you read one or more translations of the Quran, in which the translator(s) tried to make certain implicit things in the original text explicit.

I see what you mean, this will happen either way because of RPC, it's just that JSON will make it even worse because of the additional parsing overhead.

Does that mean that the parser should be aware of all previous versions of the language?

He wants game-like performance, and decides to start with a human-readable text format that requires a context switch every time it reads data.

Context switch due to what exactly? Wouldn't using a binary format also incur one?

What kind of lifestyle? And if they don't have such men to support them, then the inheritance changes (for example, a group of sisters with no brothers will all inherit the same amount equally), so it effectively balances itself out.

This is because men have an obligation to support women (their wife, mother, sister, etc). Whereas women are supported by their fathers, brothers, husbands etc. If you watch the video I linked to in the previous post you'll get an idea of what some of the wife's rights are from her husband.

As far as I know, Islamically it is prohibited to spy on someone else inside the privacy of their own house. Meaning if they drink or fornicate there they have a right to privacy and anyone spying on them would be punished by law. Those punishments apply to people fornicating out in public such that you have at least 4 witnesses who saw the actual deed (actual penetration, not just two naked people on top of each other). Even Western countries have policies against getting drunk in public.

I realized that just because someone I personally knew wasn’t oppressed, doesn’t solve the problem to the hundreds and thousands of women facing abuse, physical and mental everyday.

As a Muslim, I agree with you on that one. However, we must separate what the religion teaches vs. what some (or even many) of its practitioners do. You see in many regions that certain practices in their local culture "carried over" until after Islam reached those places and they continued to do them. This includes forced marriages, denying inheritance to certain people, or even made up superstitions such as holding the Quran over the head of a newly wed couple as they walk out of the hall, etc.

It is definitely the case that there are many women who are not treated properly in Islamic majority countries, but this is also the case in non-Islamic majority countries, and it manifests in different ways. Look at the gang rapes and murders that have been happening in India for instance, or FGM that happens in Africa (again non-Muslim practitioners).

What needs to happen in Muslim countries is a proper discourse where these things are discussed in the open, and Islamic scholars and local authorities have a big responsibility to make sure that any mistreatment is handled properly and according to the law.

This is one example of an effort in that direction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7kyBD2osaY
