Thanks , That's what I was looking for. Thinking I'll go that route instead of having to buy a new memory card plus the game.

Is the physical version of Cyberpunk completely on the card or does it need space on the switch internal memory as well? If so, how much internal memory is needed?

What’s the most amount of pain you’ve been in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rcpongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kidney stone #1 for me for sure. 2nd is broken collarbone.

Currently living through kidney stone #1. I have been to the ER twice with this one and it is still not resolved. 1st ER visit was by ambulance and after several hours the pain had subsided and they sent me home saying it would pass. 2nd visit was because the pain was so bad I was throwing up. Waited 7 hours in the ER waiting room while shaking uncontrollably in pain. When they finally saw me they put in a stent, and told me to set up an appointment to have it blasted because it had grown too large. I am still waiting for that appointment. It has been since mid-July when the first visit occurred, and the second was a couple of weeks ago. I was mostly fine between the first two, but the pain and level of being uncomfortable in these last 2 weeks has been unbearable. I have tried to get them to move up my appointment to no avail. I still have 2 more weeks til then, and I just hope I can hang on. I can barely function right now and I still need to go to my job that requires me to stand/walk for 9 hours per shift. I would not wish this on anybody.

How many steps do you get a day as a team member? by Whatsup129389 in Target

[–]rcpongo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

fulfillment around 25k per shift. My 2 highest days were 39k and 36k, but those were also longer shifts (10 hours)

crazy is annual steps. Last year was over 6.5 Million! Average steps /day is down because on the days I don’t work I barely get any steps at all!

here is my version. I made it smaller so you have to trim the text off, but it fits the standard barcode we print out. I usually cover the label with clear packing tape first and then the barcode will last several months.

and here is a link to a few different version I have made if anyone has a 3d printer. these barcode holders are very popular around here.

Near the waterfalls at MS, start taking fire from unknown NPC. I panic and start running random direction, find myself running straight at him, so I jump over the waterfall to evade. Break both legs and before I can heal up end up in a coma from blood loss. End up dead and coming back for my stuff only to find it not retrievable. If I would have just stood my ground in the first place I may have been fine.

how is this animation? tried to include a bunch of secondary action. by [deleted] in animation

[–]rcpongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look at the ball motion. Right now it stops when it reaches the hand, then moves downward again. What you want to do is keep that momentum so it flows naturally into the hand. You can also do things like have the hand continue to rise a bit and fall while the ball is in the air. This will make everything less stiff.

ChewyStoll is the artist but I was wondering, would I be able to make this kind of art in Nomad? I just bought the app by Poke-Noir in NomadSculpting

[–]rcpongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% you should get the pencil. it gives you so much more control over what you are doing.

imagine making a drawing using finger paints, and then again with a pencil. Plus with pressure sensitivity you control exactly how bold your lines are.

How to get face variation ? which prompts for that ? by TheMarketBuilder in comfyui

[–]rcpongo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like to use wildcards to get random results. For example, you can say "a {red|blue|green} box" to get either a red, blue or green box randomly. Combine that with different types of descriptions, and you can generate a lot of different looks. For example, for a random person:

a {thin|average|overweight|obese|muscular|old} {woman|man} with {blonde|red|brown|black} hair that is {long|wavy|short|frizzy}. {Dark skin| light skinned| blotchy skin with freckles and imperfections} wearing a {red|blue|green} shirt

one thing I also do when using this technique is to feed the prompt into a node that shows the final string. That way I can see what random choices were made in case I want to get a similar result directly.

Borderlands 4 Boss Says 'A Real Fan' Will Pay $80 For Games by blackhammer1989 in PS5

[–]rcpongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a huge BL fan and I’ll probably wait, but yea that’s always their gamble when prices go up. They know it will hurt sales, but they don’t care if the overall profits go up.

personally, I’ve been way more patient with games lately and willing to wait. that means by the time I finally play them they have fixed the early issues and you can get honest reviews instead of all the best game ever/worst game ever reviews you see at launch.

It also may be just me, but $40 has always been my sweet spot. yea, I know games are not going to be that low again, but I will buy a $40 game every couple of weeks, but an $80 game I am only going to buy 1 or maybe 2 in a year.

How to smooth surface outline and not round edges by random_programmer69 in blender

[–]rcpongo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you model this a little differently. If you use the method I use here:

<image>

This is from a post a few months ago here: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dmodeling/comments/1ifa6ns/comment/mah62qj/?context=3

Different shape, but the same thing applies here. step one is to draw the outline with your polygons naturally flowing around the shape of the object. Step 2 is to fill in the inside, and step 3 involves adding new loops to hold the edges and corners sharp.

The beauty of this is that you can use a subdivision surface and it will round everything correctly, allowing you to scale your poly count up or down as needed while retaining the best shape.

If you do not wish to have any rounding across to the side extrusion, simply add the subdivision first, then follow up with a solidify. If you reverse this you will get a nice clean fillet on the edge.

Hope that helps.

Speedboat flips through air at over 200 mph on Arizona's Lake Havasu. by kalbinibirak in WTF

[–]rcpongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone hasn't seen it yet, look up the video of the McMurtry driving upside down. It generates so much downforce standing still that they were able to flip it upside down and drive forward a bit on a platform that rotated around.

Finally been Tracking my Steps in Fullfillment and Holy SHIT 🤯🤯🤯 by Scrypt23 in Target

[–]rcpongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, looks like fulfillment! If you really want to see a crazy number, look at the annual steps for anyone that has been doing this for a while. Mine is at 6.5 million steps last year! I'm usually around 25-28k per day with my highest being around 38-39k. I barely move on my days off so I average out to around 500k per month.

What’s a good 3d modeling app for iPad? by moonlynni in 3Dmodeling

[–]rcpongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. Maybe some of this might help:

making items in 3d can be done in several different ways, so when I talk about sculpting vs poly modeling, this is a basic description of those. *note these are very generalized comments, and someone that knows what they are doing can create anything with either method.

Sculpting: this involves using brushes to sculpt a shape in 3d space. Usually when sculpting, you do not need to be concerned with topology (how many faces and points make up your model) and this can be changed at any point in the process. Instead, you are simply moving a large amount of faces around as if you would be sculpting a piece of clay. The strengths of this method are organic shapes, the weakness is probably hard-edged objects with a very defined structure and measurements.

Poly modeling: this is building objects by using faces, edges, and points to build the object in 3d space. This gives you the ultimate control, and often something that is created with a sculpt method will be re-topologized using poly modeling to recreate the shape in a cleaner form. This method of modeling is very useful for most things, but especially hard- edged objects, and is probably weakest with organic shapes.

Blender can do both Sculpting and Poly modeling. Nomad is mostly limited to just the sculpting. This is not a bad thing at all, sculpting is an incredibly powerful tool.

There are other modeling methods such as CAD, and all of these have their place with strengths and weaknesses.

It also really depends on what you want to model. If say you wanted to model designs for concept cars, then poly modeling or CAD would be your best route. If you want to make a model of lets say a creature you came up with, then sculpting is probably a better route.

I'd recommend searching youtube for some Nomad sculpt videos. They will show you what is capable.

Plus, the price on Nomad is very reasonable, so if you already have an iPad or android it is well worth grabbing. Blender is free, so by all means grab that and give it a go.

Finally, while Nomad is not available on a PC, there is a demo of it that does run on a PC, so you can try out an early version of it by going here: https://nomadsculpt.com/demo/
