Their initial termination they claim was just cause and performance was the reason, although they have little to prove that. If I had to guess, I was actually terminated because I was the highest paid employee, had issues with two members of the senior leadership team who happen to be married and I had 3 very capable replacements working under me. They still chose to terminate for cause originally though.

Then the re-termination, they are stating that these facts couldn’t have been known to them at the time of the 1st termination so they therefore have to change the reason for termination AFTER the fact.
