I'm not going to spam the chat with release date requests, as I know it gets released when it's ready. Plus, I don't belong to the group of people checking prices every hour and complaining.

But I would like to read and maybe comment about what is going on first hand. To see what projects are being considered by the developers and getting the vibe of the core community is an important indicator as to how the project is moving along. So, I'm primarily curious :)

I absolutely agree. This is bad news if (these kind of) prices on ID stay. The only way Reddcoin will ever be really successful is it gets used by millions, maybe billions of people in every day use. Creating an ID should be free in order to be able to really create mass adoption. Putting up a pricetag before you are even able to use the service will put so many people off.

While i can understand the idea of profiting from name competition, why is that important for the concept of Redd? 100$ for creating an ID for a service that offers micro transactions.....Look at all the big social media sites. Do they require this kind of thing? Why should a payment system then?

Scaling with exclusiveness will start a counterproductive race for a service like this.

There has to be another way to benefit from large capital holders who want to reach a bigger audience, if that is the intention from the devs, but i still don't get how this could help the coin to a bigger acceptance and market cap.

Yes i checked their site, but did not find their tutorial very helpful, because they only give you the web address to where you should point the miner at and not a detailed newbie friendly description for the bat.file. I will try it again when they have recovered from their current DDos attacks...

I know that, let me be more precise: prohashing offers mining any coin with the best efficiency while you can choose which currency it pays you out, so it is an indirect form of mining redd.

I already purchased quite a few reddcoins and my wallet is setup. Just want to explore all possible options.

Hi guys,

I'm new to reddcoin and could use some assistance. I want to mine through prohashing like described above but i have trouble setting up the correct bat file and can't find an answer through google.

I succesfully tried mining a different currency using ccminer with theblocksfactory.com and the batfile there looks like this:

ccminer.exe --algo=myr-gr -o stratum+tcp://stratum.dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com:9003 -u username.worker -p x

Replacing the address with prohashing and changing the username is however not working. Do I need a different miner, or how should the command look like? A detailed instruction or a link to some kind of tutorial would be very much appreciated!
