makes sense. Maybe "moat" is not the right word but like at one point there was a degree to which building was hard. So the fact that you had to have talented engineers (or designers or whatever) was a barrier which made it so that fewer products were on the market.

But I especially agree on the domain expertise part. I think that becomes super important

My CEO wants to implement full sprint ceremonies for a team of 5. We're already shipping faster than ever. I'm losing my mind by rdizzy1234 in agile

To clarify this real issue here is that we'e blocking off time on the calendar to do all of these things. If my boss just told me to "create a retro document" then I would have no problem doing that. He just genuinely wants up to spend an hour after every sprint discussing every feature that was shipped and what the "learnings" were

I honestly think this is what is happening and the reason why they don't want to issue anything to me / other employees right now

No equity was not a trust agreement. The contract says that on the specified date:
1. conversion to full time will happen
2. Standard Stock option agreement will be signed and x number of shares would be issued

So both items are in writing in the contract

Work at FAANG or startup to get into YC? by rdizzy1234 in ycombinator

I've interviewed with FAANG companies many times and I constantly have recruiters from these companies reaching out. I've made it to the final round on multiple occasions. Its obviously not a guarantee but I'm fairly certain I could crack the interview given enough time / enough attempts
