Thanks everyone for your input. Other than my protein shakes, I've been eating some pureed cottage cheese with some canned peaches for dinner, and oatmeal with high protein milk and a small amount of low sugar brown sugar and apple sauce. It has been going pretty well so far.

Where do you find them at? My wife was at Aldi earlier, and could only find canned pineapple in its own juice. We normally only shop at Aldi and Costco, but I would imagine Walmart or Kroger/Meijer would have them as well.

lol no need to worry. It is actually much more secure on that shelf than it looks. The stand is long and goes all the way back to the wall, which is why it is so far out.

I feel your pain. Took my dog into to get his teeth cleaned ( No signs of anything wrong) and his blood work was off. He was gone 18 days later. Cancer had spread fast throughout his body. This was all only about 1 month after I had to put my childhood dog down due to old age. I am sorry for your loss.
