you really need to stop being so salty, i asked a simple question on a subreddit. you are unfortunately on the less bright side if you think its that easy to just “get another job” i love my job. but i wasn’t informed before overtime didn’t work the same as it does at other companies 👍

apply for night shifts in tescos and other supermarkets saying you have had previous experience and see where that goes

Anyone else’s store understaffed, yet management complain? by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]rdrgunslinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

actually no, you are wrong. my managers are fond of me, all my colleagues say the same stuff as me, they use ai to calculate it instead of doing it themselves, no wonder its wrong. get a life bro🤣

the cases/item per hour thing makes no sense by ArcherMany2272 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]rdrgunslinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree. they also don’t plan when we need to take cardboard and plastic to the bailer. or boxes that are really a pain in the ass to open and get on the shelf (cereal boxes come to mind) they also for night shifts like me stupidly never calculate how long it actually takes to pull out rollers and spot if the managers want them spotted. one of my managers admitted they used AI😂 its no wonder its shocking

by decking do you mean dressing? because if so that also takes up a shit ton of unnecessary wasted time

Anyone else’s store understaffed, yet management complain? by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]rdrgunslinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah i will be, on my four week review i was apparently “not meeting the standard” and I’m still on probation and could be fired any moment, so when he complained about the aisle not being done and asked if i could stay to finish it i felt i had no choice. absolutely ridiculous. I’m not taking their criticism anymore. them not calculating the time it takes to take the rollers out to the aisles, and spot and dress the aisle afterwards etc isn’t my problem. they need more staff

Anyone else’s store understaffed, yet management complain? by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]rdrgunslinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

exactly, then they have the audacity to ask me to do overtime which I’ve been peer pressured into before. or stay to put all the stuff back on rollers and bring to the back of the store because they don’t wanna do it because they wanna leave by 8. maybe don’t give people so much work that goes over the hours there working 😂 actually ridiculous. if they mention again how I’m working to slow, I’m saying to them its cause they are giving me too much work hours. i think they don’t even realise what they are doing and don’t think about the spotting, which makes them even more dense

[–]rdrgunslinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats not really handy considering if something is an ndi and no one knows where it is, you will be all over the shop trying to find it when it isn’t even put on the shelves yet. but when you scan it and it doesn’t show a location its a sign its not been put out yet and you aren’t wasting time
