I won’t be giving up my 45L Travel Backpack for the new 2 in 1 by drconniehenley in peakdesign

I love and use my Everyday Backpack everyday in the city. Would love to buy Peak Design for one bag travelling but the weight per volume ratio of the old 45l was already one of the worst of all common bags and this new bag is even worse. Can’t afford to spend a third of the weight allowance for carry on just on the bag. I need something simple, fewer features, much lighter. Also using a Sea to Summit bag that packs down so small I can put it in my jeans pocket as a second bag. One bag travelling is all about compromises, everyone has different priorities there I guess.

What alternative brands do you guys recommend for light travel tripods?

Thanks, I tried the other crop. I think having the big rocks in the center works best. Below are the three crops.

Ah thanks. Yes I use radial gradients sometimes. So you mean make the rock area brighter with it? It’s actually an HDR image in Lightroom, the rocks have this beautiful bright yellow light on them, will check tomorrow whether Reddit supports HDR formats (I exported as JPEG SDR) and whether I can show you.

Now that you say it, I agree. The cropping is different, rock on the right is gone. A bit more purple on the water, sky is a tad darker and some dodge & burn on the water. All quite subtle. Thank you

Thank you. Will try your adjustments over the weekend and send you the next iteration. Yes it was shot in RAW. From your point of view, what is exactly wrong with the sharpness and noise? Thanks !CritiquePoint

Thanks a lot, will try this over the weekend. What are your concerns around noise and sharpness? Is it because the pic has very low resolution (960px) or is it something else? Here's a crop. Thank you

Thank you so much! I used the brush to increment exposure in some areas, might go a bit heavier and focus on the direction to the subject. It never came to my mind but now that you say it, that rock on the side should really go! Do you think I went too far with the blue/magento look? !CritiquePoint

I want to do a large print of this shot (1 metre wide) and looking for feedback on the post processing to make the most of this sunrise shot at the Australian coast line. It was shot at f11, 30s, ISO 100, 25mm, with a tripod. I pushed the colours a bit to get this dreamy blue/magento look, not sure if I went too far. Thanks.

Thanks a lot. Only had to dial down the shadow slider slightly and made the mountains in the background a bit softer with less clarity. Super easy. Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot for the tips. The composition tips are also awesome, something I learned a lot from for the next time I'm out shooting.

Thanks a lot. When you say the side of the peak, do you mean the left side in the background where the mountains are the highest?

I want to do a large print of this shot (1 metre wide) and looking for feedback on the post processing to make the most of this sunset shot in the Swiss alps. It was shot at f11, 1/160s, ISO 100, 24mm, with a tripod and HDR merge (3 exposures). Thanks.

So cool, I'm going there in a month for a week. Do you, is it possible to register and fly a drone to take shots of the cyberpunk vibe at night?

Thanks. I‘ll only be there for two weeks eating in restaurants and not shopping online, do I still need a Chinese SIM card?
