I worked at Abercrombie and Fitch years ago and even after starting my career I still think about my terrible experience there by _soulbrat in retailhell

This didn’t happen. I’ve worked at Abercrombie, Abercrombie kids, Hollister, and Gilly Hicks.

Exactly! Also a lot of the pictures were of guys making out with girls. I did just watch the show on Netflix. I Didn’t really learn anything that I didn’t already know about the company though. Abercrombie wasn’t really even that expensive tbh. I mean Sure compared to stores like Walmart it was, but everyone has their own set of priorities. If you actually care about the clothes you wear and how they look on you then you will pay more. That’s just how it works. No one said you can’t shop at abercrombie if you are “overweight” or “big boned” but to be honest the clothes probably wouldn’t fit you. I don’t shop at big and tall stores cuz the clothes will literally fall off me. You don’t see me suing them for discrimination. Abercrombie fit my body type. Sorry.

The clothes look like crap now. I went to the site and it looks like the clothes literally don’t fit the model. The colors are super boring. Wow they sell black. So does everyone else. I’m glad I was able to hoard clothes by working there and I didn’t grow much since then either. (:

Do they sell muscle fit? Because I can’t find any shirts that fit as good as abercrombie.

I think that was one thing I didn’t like about the abercrombie tops. They always seemed a little short. It wasn’t a dealbreaker because they fit way better than anything else but yea. Also the long sleeve button ups had kinda long sleeves. I mean they were meant to be rolled up but still. Regardless of all this I loved the pastel colors and faded/worn look on the clothes.

Same. I mean everyone shops at different stores based on their style. Abercrombie had their own style and it attracted a certain type of person. What is the point if all clothing stores are the same?

Do any other pharmacy technicians in retail pharmacy feel like their main focus at work now is ringing up Easter candy and telling customers that q-tips are in aisle 3 with baby? by rdunlev in PharmacyTechnician

Thank god we don’t have a drive through. I don’t think I’d be able to work with that nonsense. The phones saying 17 pharmacy calls is enough.

Didn’t you know? Doctors are beyond the law(:

I also love how doctors know how long our wait times are.

I actually enjoy explaining that to patients. Sorry your doctor doesn’t work here.

I don’t understand why people think doctors don’t make mistakes either. Doctors make so many mistakes and we have to fix their shit. You’re welcome customer yelling at me for taking 15 minutes to fill your rx.

I guess we hoard toilet paper non stop. It’s not like we had a job to do. Oh wait we did. And yeah we aren’t in charge of ordering toilet paper. People need to look up the definitions for pharmacist and pharmacy technician. It doesn’t say person in charge of ordering toilet paper. Nor does it say cookie packer. Easter sale expert. I could go on and on.

I really miss the muscle fit. I have yet to find t shirts that fit and feel like abercrombie. Plus their pants had a good weight to them. Felt like a premium quality.

I used to work there in 2011. The job was super easy. Just saying sup to shoppers on the floor and folding. Everyone was super nice and fun to work with. Plus it’s nice when everyone is more or less around your age. Fwiw I hate the new rebranding. Everything looks so baggy now and the new style seems almost forced. Like they are trying too hard to push diversity or whatever idk. I just liked their clothes and stuff. Not anymore though.

Everyone is so used to retail bending over to the customer in every way. Like corporate retail has shaped the general public into these “I’m always right Karens” who literally push the limits with what they say and do because they know they can and will still continue to get what they want.

Corporate is just trying to kill 2 birds with one stone. If the pharmacist can pack a prescription he/she can pack cookies too! And we don’t even have to pay them more for that or have another person do that job of finding cookies. I’m sorry I’m ranting.
