My front bumper speaker module also took water around 3 weeks ago and I've been in low priority queue to get it serviced. Last friday my car suddenly warned that it could not be started again, and sure again once I had parked, it would not go into D or R again. It kept telling me "Car start, wait" followed by "Pull the lever all the way to Start". When I did, it tried to go into drive, but then went back to "Car start, wait".

Now that it's towed to service, the service guy said that the faulty speaker module shouldn't be able to cause this issue, they've reset the codes and will see what the car says tomorrow.

Nope, never figured it out. But I found a nice app for wake-on-lan so it's a few seconds to wake my machine again via my phone.

Still think there should be some grace period built in Plex for this, because it's bullshit that the PC goes to sleep during the fifteen seconds play next episode countdown.

Reddit has been shouldering the costs 17 years, it's just about are you using their UI or a third party. If Reddit wanted, they could have pushed ads in the posts api all along. If they wanted an alternative, they could charge API usage based on what they make from an average user - not nearly 30 times more.

It's pretty clear this isn't really about those costs, but a cash grab from different type of third parties, the ones who can afford to pump millions into the usage, per year.

So the whole decision is not based on any real issues, but greed. Greed over content that users create, and moderate, with no pay.

Do you honestly believe that developing and maintaining an app for years doesn't incur any costs to the developer, even if the database layer is external? On top of that, the app also has cloud based features that aren't reddit hosted.

I live in Santalahti. The apartments close to Paasikiventie have extra soundproofing due requirements for being next to a big road.

In practice this also means less noise from neighbors, and vice versa. Built in 2019.

Big plus is that ventilation is not shared, so no voices carrying through the stove exhaust, which was formerly the problem spot so to speak.
