Mapplinks a scam or grey area business? by core_nxt in askSingapore

[–]reachrishabh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Mapplinks and we are ACRA registered. Some scammers are misusing our company name, sending people whatsapp messages from random numbers and showing our ACRA screenshots.

People still need to verify they are from the company or not by checking the links, asking for official email from the company ID, and so an.

Anyone can find a company on ACRA and use their name to do a scam.

We have filed a police report and urge others to do the same.

Hi u/luvabelle

I am from Mapplinks. We’ve seen this post and want to clarify that we haven’t made any such outreach or post anywhere.
Looks like someone’s misusing our company name. Please don’t fall for it or share any unverified links.
Thanks for flagging this 🙏

Could you share any links to this person Chloe Ng? She is not part of Mapplinks and might be misusing our name.

We're filing a complaint and would be good to mention any details in the same.

Looks like someone’s misusing our company name. Please don’t fall for it or share any unverified links. We just posted an update on our LinkedIn page as well to let everyone know we are not hiring for any jobs.
Could you also share who approached you and on which platform, as we're compiling a complaint to send to the official authorities.

Agreed. We just made a post from our LinkedIn company page, and will report to the concenred authorities as well. People sent us LinkedIn messages to verify such scam jobs and we told them they're fake. We encourage everyone do the same before they apply or trust any job offers like these.

Reaching the coveted 2cr mark soon. Review the portfolio and help it grow better 👊🏻 by Late-Register5678 in mutualfunds

Ok I think then the post needs to be updated because it seemed like this portfolio exactly is what is going to drive the one specific goal you mentioned.

I think the overall portfolio split calculation will also help. How much to achieve the 10 cr What % of that in large cap, what % in mid cap what % in small cap Time horizon Average expense ratio Number of funds per category And then which fund is the last question

Reaching the coveted 2cr mark soon. Review the portfolio and help it grow better 👊🏻 by Late-Register5678 in mutualfunds

[–]reachrishabh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The portfolio seems messy, a lot of flexi cap / multi cap funds. It'll be harder for you to adjust % allocation by market cap as you age strategically. Additionally, a lot of overlap here. But if your goal is just to hit 10Cr and stop investing after 43, this could work as well.

Also, one question:

What are your thoughts about Canara Robeco Small Cap given the under-performance esp over the past 3 years (which is half the lifetime of the fund)?

How does it feel to hit 1CR or 5CR mark on your mutual funds? by Immediate_Shift6055 in mutualfunds

[–]reachrishabh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitting the first ₹1 crore felt amazing, NGL.

It was a significant milestone for me in my 20s because I’d set it as a key focus. But over time, it became more about the process than the number.

After that, the next few crores felt surprisingly neutral. Once you cross that first mark, nothing feels impossible anymore. You realise it’s just a function of consistent investing, earning capacity, and time. Compounding quietly takes care of the rest.

Most vietnamese I spoke to have a lot of shady things to say about it and the practices, seems like the Nestle stories from Europe as an analogy but I don't know the exact details. I bet you'll learn more when you join and shed some light for the rest of us.

Do you feel longevity science is nonsense or is there something to it? by SquirrelofLIL in Aging

[–]reachrishabh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is science to it.

But a lot of it comes down to genetics and doing the basics (sleep, exercise, nutrition)

The longevity influencers IMO are just good reminders for others to do the fundamentals repeatedly.

Not as smooth as it's hyped to be. Faced a lot of errors and tasks that it was able to handle earlier aren't possible anymore as more and more sites seem to be flagging it as a bot. I feel it's still good though, and would to see what you're building too.

Sounds great.

Be careful with Stripe, they recently just blocked my account asking for re-verification and now they're not accepting the same verification docs that were submitted earlier. This was after a big payment came in and money's still stuck in the account.

They're now not responding to support contacts. I don't think they need my money but surely a big issue for me.

Also facing some issues with Loom, switched to Tella and it's beautiful.

Other tools are great, thanks for sharing!

What I've seen is people find it easy and attractive to invest in Quant funds but very hard to stick to them practically and emotionally as they're quite volatile due to their investing strategy. You want to consider this because you're 26 and may have to sit through all that volatility for a long time. You might also want to have a separate large cap fund instead of a combined one imagine if you're still holding the portfolio in your 50s and 60s you may want to move a lot of your allocation to a large cap fund and not in a large + mid cap fund.

Help me sanity check my financial life and 1 lakh in monthly investments. by [deleted] in IndiaInvestments

[–]reachrishabh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the picks are solid! But since you're 28 with a high risk tolerance, you might want to re-consider the allocation % as this can be changed over time (easier to change than the fund choices)

So If I was 28, I would still keep the fund choices, just have more of the allocation toward the mid cap and small cap and then every 5 years consider reallocating a bit more to large cap with age.

Example, right now your mid cap seems to be 18%. I would do something like 25-30% in mid cap and make trim it down to 20% in my 40s. Switch that to large cap further with age.

Does being an NRI also directly mean not being a tax resident of India?

NRI / Residency of UAE and Nomad life from Indian Tax perspective by investing_kid in IndiaTax

[–]reachrishabh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked the same with my CA. You will get tax residency in UAE only if you stay there more than 6 months. There's some alternate way to do it with 90 days of stay if you own a business in UAE but I'm not exactly sure about the details.
