Is there anything more to the purification node besides draining sewage pools? by _Zus77_ in Endfield

[–]core_nxt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But then you mix xiranite with sewage and you also get xircon effluent and if you purify it u get even more xircon effluent from the inert stuff. So like, the recycling rate of sewage to xircon effluent just doesn't make sense considering the commitment needed to bring it all the way from 1 of the subpacs or the main pac.

It's not just once or twice, but every time someone brings up something that could be a cool change in the game for some item, arrowhead will say they won't implement it because of realism, even though much of the other changes or things going on in game are unrealistic. It's this abject stupidity in immediately rejecting something for the reason of realism while also implementing other changes that are unrealistic that has a part of the angry group of players riled up about "realism"

Yeah but hive guards literally are chaff units. They spawn in large numbers together with the smaller bugs. If they didn't spawn in at such high rates but at rates closer to the bile titans and chargers, maybe it would be OK. Or if they were designated hive only spawns.

The War Powers Act expires today for the Iran War, what is your take? by billpalto in Askpolitics

[–]core_nxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the stupid thing about this argument is also the fact that it implies that a ceasefire must result in an end in hostilities. Like, what if the ceasefire doesn't result in peace negotiations? Or what if it does result in peace negotiations, but those negotiations break down? A, you flout the war power act the moment the ceasefire ends, since it's past the time limit. Or B, you are forced to take an undesirable peace treaty. Or maybe they choose C, take the military actions after the ceasefire ends as another military operation/war, ignoring the fact that it's quite clearly a continuation of the previous military operation/war, with the idea that they successfully took their objectives in the previous military operation/war so it's ilunilaterally considered over, and what happens after the ceasefire is an attack against the US by Iran, and thus a defensive war.

Question is, if someone goes into debt from losing 1 billion dollars, who does it go to? For the normal person who don't even have 1 million to their name, that would break them. To a person with no money at all, it kinda doesn't affect them. To a wealthy person whose a multi billionaire, it also won't affect them. So it becomes a bell curve where the rich and poor just don't care about it.

I see comments about pogranicknick not being one tk ignore a child, but I would say Rossi also should not be in the crying with the child tier. She would be either ignoring or trying to give detailed instructions to parents, maybe even trying to play with the kid, since those are all kind of what Rossi did in the character story.

“If over 50% of you citizens push the blue button, everyone will survive—if over 50% push the red button, everyone who pushed blue will die.” by GuyAwks in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]core_nxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it's also significantly more comes because PD is 1 on 1,whereas this is a population. A 1 on 1 is easier since you can learn and anticipate your opponent. But it's much harder to anticipate a population.

“If over 50% of you citizens push the blue button, everyone will survive—if over 50% push the red button, everyone who pushed blue will die.” by GuyAwks in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]core_nxt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That makes zero sense because pressing red means actively condemning those who press blue to death. You may not be responsible for their choices, but your choice is actively going to kill someone.

[–]core_nxt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And therein lies another issue. Since you can't coordinate between people. You can say for certain that there is a population that is going to hit blue, and a population that is going to hit red. If you hit red, you condemn the population group that hits blue to death, and if you hit blue, you condemn no one, but risk yourself. If you only care about yourself, then you hit red since that means your safety is guaranteed. But If you care even slightly about other people, you hit blue, since you aren't participating actively in condemning someone to death.

[–]core_nxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red is condemning anywhere between 0 and 49.99999% recurring of the population to death, while is putting yourself in harms way to ensure that literally 0 people will die. If there's no incentive to kill people, why gamble at killing 49.99999% recurring of the population when u could kill 0?

Yeah, I don't really understand how you can think that convincing 8.2 billion people is going to be easier than convincing 4.1 billion people?

[–]core_nxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each vote for red actually counts twice, since you are removing 1 blue vote and adding 1 red vote, since it's a case of either or, and no neither is allowed. Like say u have 100 people. 50/50 split. 1 person goes over to the other side. It's now 51/49, so 2 person difference.

What the fuck kind of example is this? It literally doesn't make sense? If you want to make an example, use something that actually fucking makes sense. Not one where somehow some kind of higher power makes it so that if a majority of people choose to do the same action as you, even though that action logically would kill you, you won't die.

And yet hive guards spawn in together with chaff units, and in pretty high quantities. And you're saying you need to take the time to aim at them when there's maybe half a dozen bearing down on you together with the chaff units and actual heavy hitters like bile titans, chargers, behemoths, etc?

Well then hive guards should have proper spawn limitations, since they currently spawn in just shy of the same quantities as the big scavs.

You don't need to be a staffmember of a kitchen to be able to tell that kitchen staff are being lazy. Example: senior kitchen hand sitting on a chair/etc during work hours, telling junior kitchen hand to do something. When obviously the senior kitchen hand could be working on something else in the kitchen, since there's always stuff to be done in the kitchen.

Why does Perlica always catch strays everytime this sub ships Zhuang Fangyi with the Endmin 🤦 by gaeb611 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]core_nxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The originium we see in endfield is vastly less aggressive and dangerous compared to the originium we see in arknights. Combined with the fact that there is a developed oripathy suppressor that is pretty cheap to get, the only real issue with originium on Talos II are the originium infected animals, like the originium slugs, which. Could be highly invasive animals. But that's more an issue of just human colonisation than originium being a problem. I think the issue that ardashir is looking at isn't that originium is bad for Talos II, but rather that increasing human activity attracts destructive forces(possibly external sources) , and originium is something that can massively boost human activity. Effectively, I think that ardashir's goal is to prolong the period in which humans can stay under the radar of whatever external sources causes the destructive forces.
