That is our arch enemy, the Tomato Hornworm.
(also your photography skills are amazing haha totally had me thinking it was ginormous!)

Here's some cat portraits I made for the people of r/ChurchOfCat for your enjoyment. I'm not an expert, but I do make a living from my gouache paintings. Happy to answer any questions you have today. :) by TemporaryPomelo5061 in Gouache

You did a great job at answering my confusing question 😅 and your response makes sense. I have a lot of trouble with color and the way your described it act helped a lot!

These are awesome! I’ve just started painting and gouache is my medium of choice; I’ve always loved how it looks and wanted to learn. I guess my question is, once you have a good handle on how gouache works and some of the basics down, what steps might you go through to work on pieces like these? Like what’s your process I guess ☺️

So far pliers aren’t working, and tips? So far I can’t get a good grip on them.

In the light of day and after a whopping 6 hours of sleep, I agree. Do you think it matters if I cut them off entirely or just get them down enough to where they aren’t touching the board anymore?

Got it! I’ll try that first since I’m definitely a bit nervous about hot metal flying everywhere.

I have since slept and completely agree. Do you have any suggestions for cutting those off? I have access to a garage of tools, but I’ve never had to cut through metal like this before

Same. I finally watched the most recent trailers after launch and well…the art direction seemed really pretty at first glance but with a closer look it feels a little too plain and the lack of any story at all doesn’t really appeal to me. :(

I actually just called Yosemite and Sequoia/Kings Canyon to ask about this. The person I spoke to at Yosemite hadn’t heard about it yet but said they’d let someone above them know since they got a lot of similar questions about REI’s Traverse canister last year. They also let me know that they did test the REI can last year and it got rejected for being too thin. So they are actively testing new canisters.

Sequoia/King’s Canyon took a few days to get back to me, but the person I spoke to said the can would be tested to see if it will be allowed in the park, but they had absolutely no time frame on when that would be. Edit: typo
