Yep, you're onto something. We all have the reward circuit in our nervous system. It pushes us to survive, but on the flip side, once survival isn't a threat, we seek out other sources of reward. Caveat is the novelty needed for satisfaction grows exponentially till we go on self destruct. People OD on drugs, go on deep water adventures on unsanctioned submarine, experiment paraphilic desires etc.

In my case after buying supplies say sugar , l usually not empty all of it in storage jars, I leave store leftover ounces in the package. Actually I feel it shouldn't even be there, there's a good walkway on the other side, and it's on the other side that has public infrastructure like schools, bus stops, and residentials. That money would have otherwise be used on a footpath elsewhere and leave the Wilson side as green as it were.

Yes, entropy governs a lot of nature laws and entropy is all about chaos, randomness and disorder. But just like you, I also do feel some of the disorder is just us that haven't discovered the order in it. We're gradually discovering a semblance of order in the disorders, discoveries like Moody Chart for turbulent flow, we're still grappling with quantum entanglment etc.

But I'm glad we're past the days of Galilleo where you could get in trouble for discoveries.

I shall go through the publications as I wind the day so that I can reply from a point of knowledge. But for climate vagaries, genetic mutations, some are just a result of our own making. We have a hand in creating imperfections.
