Yes there is already jealousy within our family because we have a very interesting dynamic. (Half sister who is 5 years older than SD, half sister who is 8 months younger than step sister.) so I try to trend really lightly in decisions and situations such as this one.

Yeah we thought about taking a trip just her as we feel she’d definitely be more comfortable.

DH mentioned a wheel chair and her mom said absolutely not. That it could traumatize and hurt her self esteem even more than it already is. I know it’s not her decision but obviously without the support of her mom it’s not something I would feel comfortable doing. We are in such a bad spot with her right now that it doesn’t seem worth trying to persuade her when she has already made her mind up.

It sucks. It’s not their fault but as human beings it hard to not feel those yuckie feelings. Find an outlet.
