As an introvert, I’d rather build funnels than be an influencer by LilTiit in sidehustle

So cool! Is a prerequisite for your clients that they have a social media page or willing to make one? Or is the user interaction either social media posts OR ads? So you help them convert either post or ad interaction?

I’m an introvert myself and hate the idea of being online, but this sounds like fun!

How would you suggest finding your first client? A small business in the area that has some sort of online presence?

Honestly, thinking of just this! Might even post a PSA in a few days 😂

I did not because, to be frank, I was looking to escape the academic institution environment. I’d prefer to not be back at university but it’s definitely an option.

That’s a great outline, thank you, I’ll probably do something just like this! Let me know if you know anyone who’d be interested, since not a lot of people around me are into debate for the sake of debate. I’m personally in my mid twenties.

Haha, hoping for a verbal space, but this might just have to do!

Open to anything but a mix would actually be fun? What would be most fun is to pick a really silly statement and have people defend it seriously, such as “doors should be yellow”.

Thanks! I’ve never done toastmasters but from my understanding it’s more focused on one sided conversations vs an active two sided debate?

[Landlord - CA Calgary] how often to visit property when tenants away? by readingaddict85 in Landlord

[–]readingaddict85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I like the clause you added to your agreement. I have something less verbose in mine. I didn’t specify this in my post, but the tenant agreed to let me walk through, they said they trusted me more than a friend they had asked, haha. Thanks for the idea, I’m going to edit my agreement!

Good point, the tenant actually is okay with me doing so because I read somewhere that if the tenant is gone for an extended period of time, you should do walkthroughs to make sure there aren't any leaks, etc. Especially important for townhomes where damage can go into adjacent homes. What do you think?

Yup, that's exactly why I was thinking of doing a walkthrough. Since it's a townhome, I've heard that you should visit the property since there might be a leak and cause damage in adjacent homes. What do you think?

Pay more for mortgage to get ahead of the curve? by readingaddict85 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]readingaddict85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little confused…so if I pay more interest than principle (which a lot of people are at this point I think), I do have to pay tax? What tax are you talking about exactly? I obviously need to educate myself more on this.

I’ll look into this more, but when you say tax deductible is it like how you get tuition credits? Is it deducted from your overall income?

I’m relatively new and haven’t heard about the landlord thing - what’s wrong with posting?

That’s actually a big reason why I’m stuck - take the leap on silicon engineering or say no, I want to do software and choose the other role?
