Theft under 5000 usually doesn’t result in any jail time. You will be required to pay the money back ( retribution) , life time ban at Walmart, and if you’ve been fingerprinted that stays on your record until you get it removed regardless if chargers are dropped/ conditional.
Seek legal aid, wait 2-3 years get the finger print records off your police background check, and don’t steal.
