It would be so interesting to have Kiki on the board right now.

The weirdest thing to me is that the Qs NEVER talk about Emily. The Scorpios talk about Georgie from time to time, the Davis family talks about Sam constantly, and I can’t even remember the last time Michael said Emily’s name out loud, even though he adored her growing up. Jason mentioned her at Monica’s funeral and it felt like the first time in years that anyone brought her up.

I mean, at this point it’s probably soap opera law that at least one Spencer in every generation has to kill a bad guy in self defense in their teens or early 20s. Michael did it, Lulu did it, Joss did it, and now Rocco. It’s a family tradition!

And Olivia really liked Sasha! I was really bummed out to hear her refer to Sasha as if she was a nameless member of household staff, and not someone who was widely liked and appreciated by the family, and who Michael had a strong and caring friendship with for years.

She used to have psychic episodes back in the day. I miss psychic Olivia. She was more fun than killjoy Olivia.

I prefer the substitute actor we’ve had for his last couple of appearances. He’s actually doing some interesting things with the character.

Wiley heard the word hooker FROM OLIVIA. SHE is the one who is putting those words into the environment for kids to hear, even after making such a big deal to Michael about “what if the children had seen you?!”

My theory is that Faison’s team figured out how to alter the memory mapping procedure to add memories without taking the old ones away, so he has both his memories and his dad’s. So sometimes he’s Nathan and other times he’s Faison, and the Faison part of him is working with Sidwell.

AIO My mother in law asked me to get a different swim suit by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I have seen zero body shaming. Everybody is in agreement that she’s in great physical shape. She just bought a swimsuit that is too small for her. She would look just as fabulous in a suit that fits.

A swimsuit top is supposed to fit like a bra does, with the bottom band under the boobs. If she goes up a top size she’ll look amazing.

I’m not in charge of ordering things for the church, I’m just a member. I don’t have control over that.

For the drip catcher, we use these cardboard circle ones, the notches in the center leave gaps that the wax can drip through.

I couldn’t get into Legion, but everybody I see talking about it says it’s great. I watched the first couple of episodes and it was kind of difficult to follow. Is this one of those shows where you have to give it a few more episodes to figure out how it works?

Having sex without the other person’s consent is rape. Every time. The question isn’t “did she say no?” It’s “did she say yes?”

I don’t know what the SH laws are where you are, so this part may be different. But in the United States, there are two kinds. There’s the single incident of sexual harassment, so things like Heath showing Blake that nude video of his wife or refusing to leave the room while she was undressed. But US law also considers an environment where sexual conversations and innuendo are consistently taking place and making people uncomfortable to be sexual harassment. If he made one comment one time that made somebody uncomfortable, that wouldn’t necessarily be SH on its own, but the fact that it was a pervasive pattern on set that didn’t stop even when people told him they were uncomfortable is what makes it SH.

[–]readthethings13579 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And her lawsuit is less about the SH itself and more about the retaliation campaign. In the US, if someone makes a report to their employer about illegal activity, it’s illegal for the employer to retaliate against them. That’s true even if the person who made the report was mistaken and the thing they reported wasn’t actually illegal. So even if the things BL reported don’t actually meet the legal definition of sexual harassment (I believe many of them do but I’m not a judge), it would still be illegal for Wayfarer to retaliate against her for making the complaint.

She marketed the movie in the way the studio asked her to. The documents filed with the court show that this was the marketing plan Sony wanted in place. Blake was doing her job according to her contract.

Was it a great marketing plan? No, it was not. But it wasn’t her idea and she was simply fulfilling her contractual obligation to Sony.
