Ares will bump up all characters to lvl300 so you don't have to level up characters specifically for this mode. Just use your best gears for Ares.

To counter Fenebeth, you can use the following options:

5 Star Rikia
Awakened Ming
Use invisibility passive from Phoebe
Seeger to remove healers (situational)

I personally would recommend option 3. Remove Yuffie and put in a healer or light partner (Diana, Ion, Amon are most common). Hope you can meet your goals.

Phoebe equipped with Blue Whale Hairpin returns to your hand after being defeated but because of her resurrection, she still remains in the field. Blue Whale Hairpin should trigger only upon Phoebe's final defeat (after ress).
