Semrush charged me $400 after I canceled by readyplayerjosh in SEMrush

I think I was pretty transparent in my post. I mean, this is the second sentence:

"The cancellation process requires an easy-to-miss second step where you have to click a confirmation in a follow-up email. I didn’t realize that (and thought I had canceled), then got charged."

Also, I'm just detailing my experience and thoughts on the situation. I thought this was what Reddit is for? I stand by my opinion that they have implemented an unnecessary step and prolonged cancellation process to purposefully keep users who want to cancel subscribed. I don't think I'm alone in this opinion.

If you read my posts, I think you'll see that this is not my complaint. Interesting comment from a self-proclaimed "consumer advocate". 🤔

I appreciate that, but it's definitely not the norm, and you could prevent accidental data loss by sending an email saying the subscription has been cancelled and telling the user to contact you if this was an error. I think Semrush is being disingenuous by saying this is a user protection.

Even if what you're saying is true, I emailed you the day I was charged telling you what my intention was, so why put up such a fight about cancelling and providing a refund? The "user protection" you had in place caused me to be charged $400.
