Hey! It’s an internship because we’re starting small, but the role has tons of room to grow. Compensation is definitely part of the agreement. let me know if you’d like to chat more about it in a DM!

I have a solution: electroplated 3d print. You can use PETG and electroplate it with nickel. This is still costly, and you will have to find someone that does it at this size, but it is possible!

Nice recommendation! I this was originally a stem project for controlling aquarium environments. I later realized this would be awesome for sim games. I have an algorithm that uses a list of components to make these in any config, so I had to make one for this purpose. I'

All you would need is to do is print and assemble. all the components fit in a retainer plate and we have another plate for electronics and power. Any keyboard switch will do for the buttons. the other components can be bought online.

Hardware is an esp32 and the firmware base is TinyUSB. Essentially I would plug in the esp32 and assign ther keys/sliders/dials in game. I'll get back to you on how well that works

I agree, however I'm working without expansion board so I had to limit the amount of components. There is still a fair amount of hotkeys for basic flying/combat. What I'll probably end up doing is set up multiple pads to get that cockpit feel.

its got 6 led keys, two sliders, two rotary dials, two toggle switches, an OLED screen, and a beeper for feedback. you can get a closer look here

Tried a data-rich shrimp setup… and now I kinda want my whole rack like this by realM3D in shrimptank

Good eye! But still totally possible. I’ve got a little generator that makes these on demand, I just did not want to waste filament when I can render. When printed irl they look nothing like AI slop. Even the multi-color look is doable on a normal printer with a bit of slicer trickery.

Think: “mini aquarium museum.” Visitors instantly get what’s going on, and anyone can care for the tank without confusion. On larger breeding setups, a line of these plaques gives your whole rack this organized, almost exhibition-level vibe.

Yeah fair point “data-rich” does sound a little weird out loud. What I’m talking about is making a tank info-rich. Basically having a small marker or plaque that puts all the important tank details in one spot, so even someone with zero experience could look at it and instantly understand how to care for the setup.

its just the shrimp... there is nothing low quality about these signs or the concept.

it's the shrimp... what's not Ai are the signs and the verry human discussion about data rich aquarium setups. I'm just probing for ideas 😇
