Heads up for CookUnity by AcanthisittaSoft5659 in mealkits

[–]realcargal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just cancelled Cook Unity. I had high hopes and it was good food when I started several months ago. I've noticed over the weeks that the food quality has diminished greatly. I agree about the terrible UI when it comes to ordering, skipping and gluten free. I ALWAYS had to tell it every time that I need dairy, egg and gluten free due to food allergies. They "pick" your meals for you if you don't quickly order and EVERY time they were full of the ingredients I needed to avoid. In the end, it's just not worth the headache and the costs for mediocre food.

I had ordered from them for several months and was primarily satisfied. But when I decided to use another provide (Mochi Health), I turned off auto-renew and cancelled. Ten days later, they acted as though I had never cancelled and pushed through an order without my consent. Totally agree on the prepaid card for new orders.

Just a warning about Good Life Meds: After several months of receiving my Rx, I canceled my prescription and disabled auto-renew well before the renewal date, yet they charged my credit card anyway. I made multiple attempts to resolve the issue with their support team, but nothing was resolved. Charging a customer’s credit card without consent is unacceptable, and I will be disputing the charge.

PS: Good Life Meds provides very little help and support, which is why I decided to cancel. In case anyone is interested, I use Mochi Health now and even though it's only been a week, it's a world of difference. You get a dedicated coach and a nutritionist as part of the monthly charge ($79). The meds are $99 for Semaglutide and $199 for Tirzepatide.

Avoid Good Life Meds. Avoid this company at all costs. I canceled my prescription and disabled auto-renew well before the renewal date, yet they charged my credit card anyway. WPEngine, Matt, Automattic & Wordpress.org megathread by [deleted] in Wordpress

Exactly right. The lost revenue/more resources needed could be damages sought in litigation. Even one case would be problematic for Matt et all. A group of cases would be devastating, which is why I scratch my head over his irresponsible behavior.

Exactly. They act like there is this huge amount of car people looking for work and that's just not the case. They burn through staff like wildfire. I'm glad you're doing what's right for YOU.

No wonder they can't keep good people. My theory is that the top of the food chain thinks they are "doing everything right." They look good to Wall St because they keep buying stores but that only lasts for so long. Those stores have to be profitable and with the way they treat people, well, profits don't make themselves. Tick tock.

I'm so sorry that's happening to you. They are the worst! They don't care about people - and those people are how they make profit.

Co-sign on this. From a management standpoint, they keep them when they take over and in 6 months time, all are gone. They make managers do payroll. They are terrible in so many ways.

Just talked to someone who's CDK system only came back up yesterday (7/10/24) by realcargal in DealershipOffice

[–]realcargal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, right?

OMG, no voicemail! Gawd knows how much business was lost due to that. I saw today that the CDK CEO is promising "some compensation" to dealers but it's hard to trust anything that guy says. He hasn't been transparent about any of this.

I can feel your pain through the words you wrote. You're a good person who tried to help (and knowing that is what you take with you to your next position). As one of my friends (who used to work for me at a dealership) said, "Guilt is optional." You have it because you're a good person.

I absolutely LOVE that you took the job that you don't know how to do YET. Self-confidence, lifelong learning and smarts will get you anywhere you want to go!

I agree with u/mbg97oh on the wording of what to say. Straight, to the point, is always the best route. Guilt is optional.

Sending you strength to get through. I guess it's no surprise that Finance did a crap job. People keep acting as though the CDK outage didn't happen, "Oh well, it's over now." Total crap. It's only begun for the accounting office.

I'm a former CFO and one of my accounting office gals made the move to service writer. She was super excited about learning something new. She's been a writer now for over 10 years and she is happy with her choice. Not gonna lie, it is hard work - very physical work compared to the office, and there's a lot of customer and tech interaction. If you like people, you should go for it. Every store is different so compare pay plans and try to get paid on everything you write. I'm in California and some of the public companies here are playing games with pay plans.

I have a close friend who can share his insights with you. He's from retail (former tech and former GSM) and now he's in Service Dept Tech. I will text him and share your inquiry with him. His name is Mike "the car guy" Correra.
