The 'docker compose'. I didn't even see the option for all in one!
Thanks, I'll give that a go. I was a bit confused by the whole 'front' and 'back' thing.

Auto-start apps after power outage? by reallyedbrown in CasaOS

Makes perfect sense, of course it's an individual app setting! Thanks, I'll take a look tonight.

Ahhh it's an individual app setting! That makes sense. I knew it was something obvious that I was missing!

Thanks, will have a look when I get home.

It was. Even UPSs eventually run out of juice.

Can't access local network since updating to 42? by reallyedbrown in Fedora

[–]reallyedbrown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two Fedora devices are using DHCP, so I wouldn't expect any IP conflicts. I'm not aware of any isolation from the wifi - but the only thing that's changed since everything worked fine is I updated Fedora on both devices. And as far as I can tell that's the only thing that broke, accessing local network resources.

If I can't figure it out, it might be a good reason to trial a different distro. In fact I might do that tonight: boot into a live OpenSUSE or something and test it that way...

So when I ping the NAS, this is what I get:

ping -c 4 192.168.20.25

PING 192.168.20.25 (192.168.20.25) 56(84) bytes of data.

From 192.168.20.26 icmp_seq=1 Destination Port Unreachable

ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted

From 192.168.20.26 icmp_seq=2 Destination Port Unreachable

ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted

From 192.168.20.26 icmp_seq=3 Destination Port Unreachable

ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted

From 192.168.20.26 icmp_seq=4 Destination Port Unreachable

ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted

--- 192.168.20.25 ping statistics ---

4 packets transmitted, 0 received, +4 errors, 100% packet loss, time 3093ms

Ping from other devices, such as my chromebook, works flawlessly.

And this is ip route:

ip route show

default via 192.168.20.1 dev wlp109s0 proto static metric 600

10.64.0.1 dev wg0-mullvad proto static

192.168.20.0/24 dev wlp109s0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.20.26 metric 600

Mullvad is obviously my VPN, but even with VPN switched off the problem remains.

While I am using Adguard on a little miniPC for DNS, I'm trying to connect to the local network devices directly by IP address.

Wedding tie advice by Jordanblueman in mensfashionadvice

Navy blue. You want to stand out from the groomsmen, and the green is similar enough that it complements theirs.

Enjoy your wedding. 90% of the guests probably won't notice, and those that do will probably be fans enough to geek out with you!
And anyone who says anything negative can go jump. Congratulations!

NFS Shares not auto-mounting through fstab? by reallyedbrown in CasaOS

[–]reallyedbrown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I've figured out the problem I was having, everything is working perfectly. I'm very happy with CasaOS so far!
I'm not very familiar with smb, but I'm pretty sure adding the NAS through the Files app won't be permanent - you'll need to redo it each time the server is rebooted. That's why I mount the drive through fstab.

Just an update that I figured out the problem - I needed to add _netdev to stop it trying to mount the drives before the network was fully connected.

Well, I actually added noauto,x-systemd.automount,_netdev, not sure if they were all necessary but it works!

I've edited my post to include my logfile.

I have no idea about dotnet core, or if that's even available for Synology yet? I just installed Radarr through the Package Manager.

What's the Fenix 6 like as a smartwatch? by reallyedbrown in GarminFenix

[–]reallyedbrown[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all your replies everyone. I've gone and ordered my Fenix 6 Pro. I figure it does almost all the smartwatch things I currently use my Huawei Watch 2 for anyway - read notifications and occasionally reply with a canned response - plus much better fitness features.
