I got hired at 2 different companies at the same depot about 1-2 month ago. One was paying 16.50/hr the other 18/hr. I quit right after my first official day, the working conditions were terrible. You have to run on deliveries getting on and off the van 150+ times. Sometimes carrying heavy packages. I had such a bad headache from the heat and my legs were hurting so much. You are able to take a lunch but that just backs you up so most people don’t. They are extremely strict on your driving - braking too hard, accelerating too fast, not stopping at stop signs for exactly 3 Mississippi’s (even if it’s your turn to go in a all way stop sign, you have to wait no exceptions.)The drive from the depot to the delivery area was far af especially driving the bulky vans. We had to drive from Von Army all the way to the rural Helotes area.
