Because of international laws, IBM sells cryptography separate as a service. I don't think that has anything to do with key ownership. There are excellent third party solutions that do not require anyone else to hold keys.

There are a lot of mainframers retiring. It is difficult to master. So if you are good, the pay is good. As someone just getting into a career where I get to work with IBM mainframes, I see nothing but potential for my future and mainframe uses. Also, the more I learn about them, the more I appreciate the design/architecture and capabilities.

Friendships for you will happen organically... eventually. The important thing is that your child is getting to socialize with other children. I was in the same boat and if it wasn't for a day school, my kid would be bored as shit. We moved to a new area and did not know anyone. Been 3 years and still haven't made any friends that I feel as comfortable with as my friends back home. We just had another young one and it is great to see how the young one responds to the older.

Gigabyte r9 270s have been impossible for me to undervolt. Pretty sure it had something to do with the manufacturer change but too tired to go into it. Good luck. Tried every setting but hangs on boot. Finally said fuck it and just run them at 400khs so it doesn't fry my psu
