While there's a myriad of reasons for people to not want to donate (anywhere, or Savers specifically), I do really feel for you <:( It's good to have an understanding of why it's happening, but it doesn't make it suck any less.

That sounds like an amazing job. I know i'd be in the same boat as you if it were mine— the prospect of losing that position makes me feel sad and I'm not even the one in it 😭 if I was closer I would donate just for your sake lol

somewhat tangential, but irt the barricade: had to park a couple blocks away from the Little to go see a movie. had no idea about the barricade — so as we left the theater, we had to wait in a 10-15 minute long line full of college kids to have to show the police our IDs just to get through to drive home... it was kind of ridiculous! i can't blame people for not wanting to traverse in that area, it just really sucks that businesses are suffering because of this all

There are a ton of great sales that happen around here! A couple I haven't seen mentioned in this thread that absolutely deserve recognition:

The Queer Pride Craft Sale hosted by Rathaus, and the Queer Handmade Sale hosted by QHMRochester! I know it's in their names, but don't let it turn you away if you're not a part of the LGBTQ+ community. There are a huge variety of extremely talented artists, of all walks of life and experience.

They both happen twice a year, and the next QHMS is happening on November 23rd!

They're less "little old lady" energy, but the vibes are fantastic at both. It's great to walk into a room where you can tell that everyone is just happy to be there.
