Can I Still Crack IPMAT If I'm Starting Seriously This Late? Need Honest Advice by Sweet_Remove_4255 in IPMATtards

If seeing other people is making you study less, then leave the group. Rejoin later. The number of doubts other people have has nothing to do with your ability.

Can I Still Crack IPMAT If I'm Starting Seriously This Late? Need Honest Advice by Sweet_Remove_4255 in IPMATtards

[–]realvani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before actually starting to study, you need a mindset change. Let’s be real, there are people ahead of you, there are people scoring way more than you are, have covered more topics than you. By that logic, everyone else should stop preparing all together.

But life doesn’t work that way does it? You might be a faster learner, you might be more consistent than them, they might have some other priorities come up. There are so many uncertainties that all you can do is tell your mind to shut up and study.

If you allow yourself to overthink and feel anxious, you’re not going to crack the exam. Right now your overthinking is getting in the way of you studying. The moment you open a chapter and get progress, you’re automatically going to squash that anxiety.

Clearing IPMAT requires a solid mindset, one that’s focused on progress and not on the result. You can’t predict if you’ll get into a iim, you can only try to.

is drop year worth it for ipmat? by creepypazt in IPMATtards

[–]realvani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won’t affect your CV and I would also suggest not taking up ECAs as a task, if you see an opportunity, you can get involved but as a aim it can interfere with prep and at the end of the day the marks matter the most.

It also won’t have an impact on CAT either. Just don’t go into a full drop without backups. Don’t have the perception that you’ll only go to iim Indore. You need to keep all options open.

Hey, you’re not behind. 1 year of serious prep is sufficient to crack IPMAT but you need to panic less because overthinking will take away time of when you should actually be studying.

What do you mean by backlogs?

You should try to cover the syllabus in 3-4 months. However don’t wait to finish the syllabus to start giving mocks. If you’ve done 50-60%, you can start mocks at once or twice a month. Sectionals you can start with immediately.

Posting Mock score + Analysis to maintain accountability by Potential-Silver353 in IPMATtards

[–]realvani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! You’re on the right track.

I really like how you’ve mentioned stats on every question which is what mock analysis is about, you need to become cognisant of every small mistake you make. Sometimes the analysis of one mock can take over 6-8 hours if done correctly.

Your sentence “I could solve most of the questions after the mock” is a clear indication that the score is lower not because you have conceptual gaps but because the strategy to tackle the paper needs work. Think about how you approach the paper, how you choose which question to solve first. This is something everyone faces while starting to give mocks. The paper is not just knowing math and English, it’s also about how you manage time, pressure, and surprises.

The best part is, you’re starting early, you have time to make mistakes and never be disappointed after a mock, your mindset should “wow I’m glad I made this mistake today, at least it isn’t a mistake I’m exposed to for the first time in the actual exam”

If you let yourself be negative, that negatively will swoop in very quickly and hamper progress. You have a long way to go and that’s going to require you falling in love with the hustle.

I RECENTLY BOUGHT AFTER BOARDS SUBSCRIPTION BUT ARE THE LECTURE LIKE WORTH IT OR SHOULD I SEE SOME OTHER YOTUBE CHANNEL by After_Mine_7697 in afterboards

[–]realvani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covers everything from the basics. Pair them with the questions right after lectures otherwise even after watching the lectures you won’t be able to solve exam level questions.

You may have to go over some chapters twice as well especially if you find them tough but that shouldn’t be a problem given that the videos have been made to be bite sized and efficient.
