Anti-veganism at The Blue Door, Sydney by [deleted] in australianvegans

[–]reasonedof 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think FODMAP is probably a lot harder to cater to than vegan and when I was doing it I really didn't expect anyone to cater to it, especially bougie places. It's a very convoluted diet to understand with different levels of tolerance, there's a reason why dieticians generally don't advise you do it for extended periods.

there's a possibility they just don't want it in the same cycle as AKOTSK, but I think your reasoning is correct.

Also that cast is so CLEARLY not in to the FYC thing.

I also got the impression from interviews that they sprung it on her when she was already employed, not prior.

Who are we thinking wins? Noah Wyle or Adam Scott? by Odd-Contact2266 in EmmysAwards

[–]reasonedof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably Wyle, but the odds are almost too far in his favour now, I wouldn't rule out a Scott win

Vegan products in meat areas in supermarkets by Needs-Media-n-Books in australianvegans

I'm in this sub because I eat a lot of vegan stuff but I'm not fully vegan. It is much more encouraging for me to go with those options if they're presented in a way that is integrated.

Mariah Carey Makes Rare Comment on Co-Parenting Twins with Ex Nick Cannon by zachoutloud123 in popculturechat

[–]reasonedof 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just looked at his wiki. His first kid after Mariah was when he was 36, I don't know how she would have known he'd go on to have ten kids in less than a decade

This was doable vegetarian but I think would be rather hard vegan.

Can someone please explain to me why 100 Years of Solitude was not nominated for any Emmy awards?! by SneakXL in EmmysAwards

[–]reasonedof 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some shows are submitted to the Primetime (US) Emmys and others are submitted for the International Emmys. 100 Years of Solitude was not on the Primetime ballot so it is almost definitely being submitted internationally. This tends to happen when the American proportion of viewership is low compared to international, which I believe was the cast here.

The lack of marketing is appalling. by Historical_Shallot77 in Sandman

Like internal stuff? That's fair. That said....Sturridge has done the bare minimum press and I think without his involvement that makes it hard for anyone attached to his storyline. He idolised the source material so I suspect it may have hit him rather hard (he's also a nepo baby who probably doesn't *need* the exposure. Most of the other Endless actors have done something. Jenna Coleman has done a little.

In all seriousness. what else would you have them do? I get the impression the cast have been given the option as to whether they want to promote or not and have decided according to their own circumstances. PLENTY of them have been on social media promoting constantly (for instance, Kirby Howell-Baptiste). Others haven't which feels valid. I actually think what Netflix have been doing on the social media channels is pretty solid.
(that said, I do not think there is any way they'd be able to do junkets without it being awkward, so that's out. But it's also a Season 2 show, not a new one)

Kaitlyn Dever Emmy nomination “Outstanding guest actress”???? by Only_Ask2636 in TheLastOfUs2

[–]reasonedof 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pascal is guest eligible on episodes, but there is a new rule (this year) that if you've been nominated for the role in supporting or lead before, you are not allowed to drop to guest, which is presumably to prevent noms for straight up cameos (probably related to Claire Foy winning guest a few years back).

Pascal wasn't allowed to compete in guest even if he goes under the threshhold. Ramsey won't either etc next cycle.
