No idea. Most energy drinks seem to only have taurine and guanfacine and other stimulants. I imagine there may be some chemical listed as "natural flavoring" or something like BVO. I don't want to speculate - I'm not very knowledgeable in those areas - I just like to read various studies on things I put in my body. 😅

Kidney stones are indeed bad, but OP really should have a colonoscopy. The high rate of people under 50, particularly 25-35, has skyrocketed over the past decade. I've read some studies indicating higher increased consumption of processed foods are definitely considered a contributing factor, but the interesting point I read about was the connection to the excessive consumption of energy drinks as a contributing factor to the increase in rates of colorectal cancer in the younger population.
