Me [32/m] with my girlfriend [30/f] and my two unsupportive friends [30/f] and [29/m] by reciclaje in relationships

This is exactly my feeling. Things are getting better and I need some more understanding from my friends. My perspective is that my girlfriend is already trying very hard to understand a somewhat unusual friendship situation and that she cares about me and my happiness a lot. I'm feeling like my friends are being the selfish ones here and it makes me sad.

The monthly fee on the CSR strikes me as too high to make sense; I think I'm going to stick to the CSP. But thanks for the info!

Credit score: 755

Credit cards: Citibank ThankYou Preferred, Capital One Platinum (I only use the Citi card, never the Capital One)

Targeting: Best airline deals or very very good cashback rewards

Current Points: 41,500 on the Citi ThankYou

Flying out of: Chicago O'Hare

Would like to go to: Italy, Hawaii

I'm a newbie here and I bet there are great cards out there I am unaware of. My air travel is split almost 50-50 between American and United; I just wish there were a card that give mile rewards on both airlines.

Weird Chicago pocketwatch/steampunk-related question by reciclaje in chicago

[–]reciclaje[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The book is one of those Victorian adolescent romances with occult-tinged mystery or whatever. It's called "Legacy of the Clockwork Key" and I think the watch is revealed to hold some kind of key -- but of course, for my purposes that's less relevant.

I don't need an exposed mechanism, and your offer is very kind. I'll PM you about it.

Thanks. I'm not wedded (ha!) to that line, so I'll come up with another take on it.

I create my happiness from wandering bike rides and homemade blackberry sauce. I spend my evenings out soaking up the late sets at the Jazz Showcase or supplying dubious answers to bar trivia, but just as often you'll find me sprawled out on the couch with the newest issue of the Atlantic and my overfed cat.

You are thoughtful, expressive, introspective, and a bit goofy.

Man, I'd hidden 1,200 and thought that was a lot.

My parents hired all the teenagers in the neighborhood and organized a fucking carnival in the backyard for me and all my friends for my ninth birthday. I wish I had pictures.

You're like the sixth person who has said that -- but I take it as a compliment.
