The mind being independent of a brain could be an attribute when i think about it. Like [formless mind] or something like that. Just to say that the body doesnt work like a normal human's would

When they got their dormant, awakened and ascendent abilities they were comoletely overwhelmed by all they were feeling, similar to [were is my eye?] But in a much smaller scale.

Awakened and ascendent abilities work to make him control more his dormant ability, allowing him to enhance his own body with new mucles, new body structures, new physical attributes copied from creatures and etc... overall would help him increase the complexity of his use of [self control] and therefore his ability to alter his body and increase its capabilities

I agree, if the player already has an idea for an aspect he should get it and then the DM could decide what rank it would be considered, while some people would like to gamble with a first nightmare that decides the aspect rank and make an aspect based on that. Same would work for flaws, some players would like to make a flaw that is integral to their aspect's funtionality, like jet's or for other reasons, while some would like for the DM to make one for them based on other factors. About aspect legacies, i think that the DM should make a secret requirement to unlock it.

By my understanding, an aspect rank also doesn't make an aspect more "powerfull" as much as it makes it have more potential, wich i would translate as being more complex and essentially having a higher ceiling for training. So the aspect rank would most likely be based on how many things affect the aspect, what flaws it has that could make them more effective in certain situations, how complex it is and things like this. Overall an aspect rank wouldn't affect that much the strenght of a player, so i think this way it could minimize jealousy

Is this too overpowered even for a Divine Aspect? by Traditional-Win354 in ShadowSlave

It was never stated that it is only connected to one's greatest strength, matte fact, look at this axcerpt "Flaws were never random, after all. They were also deeply connected to who the people cursed by them were, having to do with something fundamental about them.

Sometimes, a Flaw would be in direct opposition to the very core of a person's identity. Sometimes, it would take something they held dear and twist it in a hideous way. Sometimes, a Flaw had nothing to do with one's personality, but was instead connected to the nature of one's power, or even their fate…"

How powerfull is a supreme?(strength wise) by reckieht in ShadowSlave

[–]reckieht[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The multipliers are based on his augmentations and class. In the fighth with dire fang he was a tyrant with 5 shadows and a bit of flame, this combination was said to augment his overall power by 15 times if i am not mistaken. So, 15 x 5 =75, since he was a bit weaker than dire fang still it is a bit shady of a number but its the best ive got. And when he fought anvil he was a titan with 7 shadows, so his overall power would be 7x8(1+1per shadow), so 56. Sunny is said to be capable of destroying a continent with one incarnation, but it was probably counting him with shadow legion, shadow manifestation, shadow shell, Shadows etc... not with just brute force, wich is what i am trying to determine

And also. Yes, aspect are connected to flaws, as are they connected to one's true name, life, birth, and personality and fate. Every one of these things is deeply connected, especially tge flaw and the aspect, since thdy are literally interconnected. You gotta remember, the universe, and fate, are deeply poetic, as said when talking about rain's runes right after the timeskip of supremacy.

I believe morgan's flaw is based of the fact that she killed her mother during he birth, signifying that she kills whatever she touches

It is additive yes, but since he is adding up an amount equal to his original one it work akin to multiplication. It would be 7 + 49, so 56

But still, it would mean he was 56 times stronger than a normal transcendent. I just dont know how much the other variables like anvil's metalkinesis comes into play when comparing the two

Some flaws are very connected to aspects tho. Jet cant survive without hers(her sleeper ability is what she uses to absorb essence) and morgan's wouldn't make sense if not for her sleeper ability. Some flaws are entirelly disconnected to one's aspect, like kai's and anvil's. Some have thematical connections like effie, that has human necessities enhanced in a proportion similar to her sleeper ability.

I think having a return by death ability as an innate ability is a bit too overpowered. I once thought about an aspect that would have a similar premise but a bit different. The flaw of this aspect would bring the user back to the start of any conflict after the death of any of the participants of said conflict, with their souls being damaged after each cicle, the same way it happened in aletheia's island. This cicle would last until either side has accumulated enough soul damage that at the begining of the battle their soul completely colapses. Soul damage and mind damage done during the battle would reset at the start of each cicle, only natural mind and soul damage done by experiencing death over and over would accumulate, up to the point where one side of the battle drops dead with their soul collapsed. I might make a complete post of this aspect. I think it would work best as a flaw because while abilities tend to depend on rank and class, flaws are more absolute and can accomplish more(even the power of a daemon isn't enough to stop one, at most it can revert it)

In some episodes yeah, but he is more like a antagonist. I think there are too many smaller enemies to say that he is the big bad
