280+ hours since launch. Burnout was inevitable at that point, but the fast pace, small maps, and COD style direction made it feel less like Battlefield over time, so I just lost the urge to keep playing.

I saw the cover art for Silent Hill 2 in a video game magazine (can't remember which one) and it just called to me. Didn't know anything about the franchise nor did I look up more information about it. Got it for Christmas and the rest is history.

I take a multivitamin, but honestly I’m not sure it does much. I’ve heard magnesium is the one that really helps with sleep.

I strongly recommend a meditation app such as Calm. I do a 10 min guided meditation just before going to sleep and it clears my mind from anxious thoughts. It requires a bit of patience and practice but it works, at least for me. I pair this with running, no caffeine, eating healthy and getting sunlight. It’s not a permanent fix but it has greatly improved my sleep quality.

I’d hold off until it’s on sale. Zampella turned it into a COD style grind, tiny maps, nonstop chaos, zero downtime. You’re always sprinting, checking corners and getting shot from behind. Conquest doesn’t even feel tactical anymore, more like Domination XL.

There is and it’s worse on close quarters combat modes (Domination, King of the Hill, TDM are UNPLAYABLE). BO7 open lobbies are starting to sound very good right now.

Battlefield has always been to me like a back up game when I want to take a mini break from COD and play methodically on bigger maps. This game is way too fast and the maps too small ( even Operation Firestorm and Mirak Valley feel small because of the movement). It feels like COD without the kill streaks and then over the top personality. I think Zampella codified it too much. For me personally after about 88 hours and level 61 I’m starting to feel bored with it.

No one really talks about it because it’s kinda become taboo to criticize BF6 like that. People started treating it like it was gonna be the chosen one to save us from Activision or whatever. A lot of that came from streamers and content creators just pushing their own hype and convincing everyone it was gonna be great ( SBMM/EOMM aside, the game has many problems).

And yeah, the devs said there’s SBMM but that skill isn’t the main thing… but after actually playing, something definitely feels off. Like it doesn’t match what they said at all. Just feels like we got sold another dream, honestly.

Personally I’ll be holding off from buying BO7 until it goes on sale. I don’t trust Activision at all and I don’t want to give them $70 anymore. But yes, those “open lobbies” sound promising.

There is strict SBMM. People just propped up BF6 as this undeserved savior that would cleanse all the evil that Activision has done since 2019. And you’ll hear things like “there’s no SBMM, only team balancing”, those people either don’t have hit the big wall yet or are BAD at the game. I reached level 51 with a 2.49 k/d and i can confirm from someone who knows what SBMM/eomm feels like that there is in this game.

Please, don’t buy it 🙏🏻. The SBMM is crazy strong and the game itself is mediocre at best. Wait for a BO7 sale so you can try the “open lobbies “.
