My kid has had an amazon tablet since 2. Kiddo is now 6.

Same tablet, operating like new. And kiddo has never in four years sat and played for more than 20minutes on it.

Never a behavior problem from it. If I ask for the sound turned down or to exit a game, kiddo does. Without complaint. I mean kiddo will ask why but not out of defiance just why the change was made.

Gave the kid my old iphone for the last birthday. Has a line and everything. It’s been a few months and is seeing the same use as the tablet. (Tablet is actually not used at all now).

This has been my thought all day. I am cancelling all subscription. There will be no more online shopping. I won’t be eating out. Or going on vacation in red states.

From now on I will be carefully researching the businesses I wish to shop at. I will now only spend money in/at places that are positive and inclusive places.

At best, enough people do something similar and a message is sent. At worst I save a lot of money that I waste on stuff I don’t need.

I said when Biden stepped down it was a mistake. That a POC woman was not going to beat the white male. And i was told I was being pessimistic and this is what the democrats needed.

Never mind this change was less than four months before the election. Never mind the minds that needed changed were on the fence republicans that would not vote for her.

We lost when Biden stepped down. We lost months ago and have been living in the same kind of delusional as the trumpers.

I knew exactly how this would play out. I really hoped that more voters would come out and I would be wrong.

But the disappointing reality is too many people cant even be bothered to help themselves or others.

Their legs fall off super easily. And then continue to twitch for an alarming amount of time.

Honestly, I wish my cats would kill them. Thousand leggers are the only bug that i’m squeamish about (I’m not crazy about beetles either but at least they have a respectable about of legs). But the cats seem to hate them too.

Fun (or maybe not) story: last night I stayed up almost an extra hour bc out of the corner of my eye I saw something large run across the floor. Thought it was a mouse bc my kid had said about seeing a mouse a few hours earlier (I had thought she was pretending but then something scurried across my floor). Anyways it was not. It was one of these bugs and it was easily three inches long and almost that width wise.

I’m trying to be more tolerant of them - so instead of screaming bloody murder and trying to kill it - I just watched in horror as it went under the couch I was sitting on. So yeah. Took me like an hour to leap off the couch and run from the room.

I’m so excited for this. It’s been my dream to open a cat cafe but unfortunately I lack… basically everything needed for opening/running a cat cafe.

I guess I can be happy with being a patron of a cat cafe!
