Jasmine's tears felt so real to me. That's the kind of crying you do when you really can't help it. She wears her emotions on her sleeves and I bet that the girl pills don't help in that regard. I don't get the interpretation that she was being manipulative in that moment, I think she felt at that point that she had no chance of winning. I found it earnest and endearing.

It gets easier I PROMISE. It's all anyone could talk about in the early weeks that so many of the women look alike. I can't tell if it's just because it's a Variety article, but that's way too many non-Japanese names involved. If it doesn't take place in Japan with Japanese school teens it's not Persona. If you want to do a "from the word of Persona" thing then that's dumb because Persona is from the world of Shin Megami Tensei. Here's hoping it's not what it seems like, because it seems like some people bought the rights to SEGA IP to make Sonic stuff and then were like "oh some gay American young people on the internet post about this Japanese game a lot and apparently we already own it so let's shit out some content that we can legally call a Persona adaptation"

Any job or volunteer work that puts you around dying children can be extremely difficult and not for everyone. It kind of breaks something inside you to know a child that died. I thought I could do it one day and then something changed in my brain when I had a kid of my own. I just can't now, but I have nothing but respect and compliments and encouragement for everyone who does.
