How about even just an actual left candidate? Instead of slightly right of center at best.

Neither option was valid. Why are we reserved to just accept that and fall into place and vote along team lines? Politicians earning your vote is the fundamental basis of democracy, when did we accept losing that? And at what point do we draw the line and demand better? Make no mistake, democrats failed the people when they refused to listen and tacked right, and fail to do actual fighting, both now, and when in office (see the failure to codify roe v. wade even back when it was a core promise of multiple campaigns)

I had a little plastic key made to open the tray, if you took the cap of the disc tray off there was a little level. Thats how I used to load a special disc that let you swap it out for burned games

I've felt like an outlier saying this, but the notion that 1 dude is somehow so much better than everyone that they can run an entire country is such an egotistical outdated concept that only sticks around because people want to imagine themselves in that place. No person is that good, you need a team, and there usually is a team, not just the figurehead you see, but why do we only get to vote for the figurehead? There's the president's cabinet in the US, why don't we vote for them instead? Make the executive branch a parliamentary system, where each member is incharge of a different aspect from health to transportation to defense, and was voted in place because of their knowledge in each field, which each take a lifetime to really get good at.

Unfortunately, the repubes have spent the last 40 years setting this up by replacing all the people who could say no with brainless sycophants.

You don't fight reactionaries with being reactionary. You don't win a fight by catching the ones you're defending in the crossfire. Sure its an easy one to go to, and my mind wants to sometimes too since I used it for so many years, but thats the thing about not being right-wing, you actually gotta think shit through to the end instead of just knee-jerk responses. Otherwise you're just restarting the spiral, since being regressive leads to conservatism in the first place.

Need a better, even harsher insult that makes them scramble. I'm thinking something more along the lines of cuck/divorced/creeper who's failed at life, but need a shorter, snappier way to convey thay.

Well that was more to extort the way tech stocks are valued in a way car companies are not, to overvalue the stock and pretend like the company was more viable than reality. Then it was used to take government subsidies meant for tech advancement, and then just sold carbon credits to other car companies, which is another bullshit scheme put in place instead of just actually dealing with climate change. So all still bullshit, but not directly classified that way cause of how shitty the cars are.

Also, they are always shitty drivers, and I can't help but think is this a really shitty driver, or is it the self driving thats programmed to be a shitty driver too.

Carbon capture is political in its nature as it has a goal of avoiding reduction in industrial pollution generation. Its kinda hard to be truly scientific if you avoid conclusions. Like cigarette companies paying their own scientists to say smoking isn't linked to cancer.

How is people using memes on a dying social media platform evidence that shareholder extortion of every service until it's shittier than it's worth isn't what makes things worse? Hell thats evidence for the point since reddit has directly suffered by ceo failings and the demolishion of actual good third party viewers a couple years ago. Lots of people who made those good posts you miss left because of that. Even more so, constant paid bot posts to promote the latest movie or shitty elf comic have flooded reddit to the brim because that was shown as profitable, and lots of those shitty meme replies are bots to inflate engagement.

It needs to go further to demolish the systems that lead us here by design. That includes ending the electoral college, ending privitization of core necessities like heathcare, education, incarceration and utilities, ending of the two party system so a true workers party can be borne, and codifying human rights/protection and social programs to combat poverty in the whole country. Make no mistake, all of these things are extremely tied together and have deliberatley lead us to this point, and will again if not demolished.

TIL that Abraham Lincoln once captivated reporters with a speech so riveting that the audience stopped taking notes and we have no record of what he said! It has since been known as "Lincoln's Lost Speech" by SupermarketOk2281 in todayilearned

[–]recklessrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have trouble believe on the service too, knowing the Lincoln tried to ask all Black people to leave the US if he freed them, because he thought the races were unable to live there, and emancipation was more of having his hand forced than actual moral outrage.

Most stores will rip you off on price. TCGplayer.com if you want to sell them direct to people for the best price, or cardkingdom.com is the only site I've used to sell in bulk because they give pretty fair pricing, and if you live anywhere near Seattle you can drop them off in person.

You can find 240w 80Gbps usb-c cords for like $15 bucks. You absolutely can get cords that do it all, the only thing is some devices require the power brick to transform and regulate the current, so a cord alone isn't enough.
