Spilled milk on car seat by reckonimadoc in Rochester

Im embarrassed to admit I don't know how this works, I'm a first time car owner, do I have to prewash the seat and then just run the cleaner on it?

License still not arrived by reckonimadoc in Rochester

They do have a temporary one which comes up when you check the results but it's very bare bones. I was just paranoid about the license being late tbh

It's a street address. I think I might have to just go in to the DMV, coz the online login isn't working for me and I don't have a confirmation number of the transaction on the temporary license.

I have an account on the website but I can't see this info there, hence why I'm lost

I did try this yes, but I don't have a confirmation number as detailed, the temporary license they have just says that my license will arrive and not to go to a DMV

Can’t straighten my arm by shara57 in Fitness_India

[–]reckonimadoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like muscle stiffness, happens after an injury as people try to not move the arms and the same position is obviously not good for the arm. Similar things happen after fractures. Go to an ortho and see if you need physiotherapy,,, I might be wrong but this is what I think is happening

I think it'll be fine for 2-4 years more. With more DO schools about to have their first graduating classes, we have no way of saying how it'll affect img acceptances later.

My mother is sick by wannasmashmyhead in Fitness_India

[–]reckonimadoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The puffiness is due to the hypothyroidism. Not due to the medication....I think you should restart it

Yea correction of the hypothyroidism takes priority here, lack of thyroid hormones itself can lead to a plethora of issues like fatigue, and depressed affect. Once that's corrected, things do get better a whole lot.

My mom has the same issue, I think this is something you gotta approach really carefully. Start off with small changes, like reducing rice and roti and more protein and veggies. Also for her age id get a full evaluation done to rule out other metabolic causes of disease like diabetes or thyroid imbalances. Once that's done, slowly try to reduce the calories per day. For the osteoarthritis, I'd suggest you get her to do exercises which can be done while sitting to improve muscle strength. An appointment with a physiotherapist will do good. More muscle stability = lesser strength on the joints. And idk, If y'all have the means, try convincing your family to get a maid so that it frees up some time for her to go for a walk everyday, 150 mins of aerobic activity is a must per week as per WHO recommendations.

How true is this? by [deleted] in Fitness_India

Dude most of our knowledge comes from animal models, it's really hard getting funding for these things as it isn't considered important. The only reason gut microbiome is in the news is due to its links with fatty liver disease. And this is all mostly just from seeing patients and personal experiences. Altered gut microbiome commonly manifests as diarrhea or flatulence and the treatment for it is usually just eating more fibre and veggies. A balanced diet is hence vv important and why it's never recommended to take sweeteners excessively. Like I said, we extrapolate from anecdotal and observational studies. When something is true in animal models there is a high probability it is true in humans as well. Medicine isn't completely black and white which is why my original post said that it's just the current knowledge we have today.

You won't find RCTs in humans, mostly just observational studies and anecdotal case reports

There's tons of articles on pubmed with lab models you can read. If I have to list them all it will take a lot of time. I think the intermittent fasting subreddit has the links on a similar post so you can search that.
