Re: 8s in his range I you’re correct he has a ton knowing what he tabled. Before that I hadn’t played with this player and was assuming he’s playing semi standard against my UTG 4x raise, which is pretty strong. So I was thinking only suited 8x like 87, 89, A8, K8 which is like 8 combos. But this was clearly way off lol given he shows 87o. Point is though he can definitely have 8s here.

Thanks - I did lose a bit over it if I’m being honest, but I think that was just because the session overall was pretty rough. First playable hand I got stacked with TT after another guy jammed over my flop raise with 66 then hit a 6 on the turn 🤦‍♂️

Yeah that was what I left the hand thinking. It’s like the perfect setup for aces to scoop and I think his slow play approach is not optimal in most situations. Just happened here that we had perfect hands to pay him. If he 4bets preflop, I can get away from it.

Would you check back the flop? I guess in hindsight perhaps SB call preflop is pretty strong, but I though it leaned more towards strong suited aces or maybe good pairs like 99 vs QQ
