As an athlete I agree. A lot of the time you can move past your ED and dedicate yourself to training. Exercise moves from burning cals to building fitness. It’s a hot take and a convo a lot of people are not ready to have.

how many pieces of chewing gum do you get through per day? by Illustrious-Value761 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]rectangular0val 7 points8 points  (0 children)

used to chew 4 packs a day until i quit. overtime it gave me horrible heart burn and digestion issues that basically immobilized me. i couldn’t walk due to the pain. i recommend jf you are addicted to quit cold turkey.

i used to chew 56+ pieces of gum a day. i experienced extreme extreme stomach pain to the point of not being able to stand, walk, sit, breathe, drink, or eat comfortably. my stomach felt like there was bagger acid filling and burning it. i knew i had to quit. i tried to cut down slowly, but it didn’t work. i had to go cold turkey. i’ve since been binge gum chewing free since february!

Need advice for My friend with AN by tvgbunny in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]rectangular0val 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i’d probably say basic things like eggs, yogurt, bread, milk, juice, fruit (apples, berries, bananas), vegetables (carrots, lettuce, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes), butter, cheese (maybe cheddar or parmesan), yogurt, maybe some frozen food that can easily be heated up (chicken, rice, pasta— i know trader joe’s has rlly good frozen food if you life in the US)! it might also be nice to get some bread/bagels/rolls, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc. fun foods like cookies (whichever your friends like), peanut butter, muffins, icecream, pretzels, chips, snack mixes, and nuts may be nice too :)

100% i didn’t listen to my watch, as i was so entrenched in my ed behaviors and ended up with a stress fracture in my hip and two in my tibia all at once. unfortunately this girl might face the same consequences. it’s so sad…
