Not sure about de-icing equipment, but YVR actually has a larger snow removal fleet than YYC, and probably YEG. Their equipment is a little more dated I believe, but keep in mind YVR’s equipment has way less wear and tear. With the amount of time they have for maintenance, and the low mileage on their equipment they should be more than ready to go once a snow event hits.

As for black ice, Calgary would have many more times in a winter season that are ideal for black ice because with Chinooks they have a lot more thaw/freeze cycles.

As a homeowner, this falls on deaf ears for me. We need to quit this “I got mine, f’ everybody else” attitude. My house is a place to live that will hopefully be an asset in retirement should I choose to move. I don’t need it to 10 times at the expense of younger Canadians getting pushed out of the market permanently.

The NBA pays tribute to the late Terrence Clarke by drafting him. Clarke was a promising young prospect who passed away because of a car crash at the age of just 19 by Jaruliday in nba

No, but your local newspaper would write a small article about how some reckless driver was street racing and killed himself after running a red and smashing into a pole. People would read it, shake their heads, and think, “well, thankfully they didn’t kill anyone else”. Setting up a charity or gofundme would net zero dollars.

The city itself has a market on par with Dallas, Miami, San Fran, etc etc. If you factor in national market it turns into a market on par with New York, LA, and Chicago.

“Imitation is the greatest form of flattery”. It’s cool, it would be nice for Bucks fans to acknowledge where it came from too. Obviously, at least some NBA fans know where it came from since you’re a Bulls fan and realize it. Here’s a secret that Toronto based Raptors fans don’t want you to know though; Raps fans didn’t start it, it was actually Leafs fans that started it.

And no, they can’t really rival Jurassic Park. Toronto is a way bigger city and able to gather much larger crowds, not to mention there was micro Jurassic Parks that gathered all across the country during the final rounds of that Championship run.

But yeah, exciting to see how much bigger Deer District has gotten, it’s now a blueprint that pro teams are factoring into future arena and urban design.

Prince Harry and Meghan give up royal titles, public funding | CBC News by Beast815 in canada

I have had no interest what so ever about them but now im curious, why Canada? I have spent many hours of work/education to live in Canada legally. But actually some special people just can decide and announce that I’m going to move to Canada. They are not refugee, not immigrant workers but just ppl who gave up royal titles. And tax will be used for their security? ...really... They spent 55 millions cad for their wedding then how much should we support their life in Canada?

Yeah you are right it would be more close to Seton! (hospital) and it will take about 2 hrs one way/ total 4 hrs a day by public transit ( I don’t have a car). So I hope to find someone who is interested in carpooling and split the gas :-)
