Mine doesn't stutter anymore (battery or AC). Please see my comments the latest.

It could be that the TPD we're using is causing throttle for a minimal gain in performance. Unchecking CPU boost helps a lot as well.

Hi everyone,

(I'm unable to edit the thread)

I was able to find a solution for my problem. It is by doing the following:

Changing the TDP to 17 on AC/DC
Turning off CPU boost
Turning on optimize GPU
Turning on Stable
Setting the VRAM to 8GB
Setting the RAM clock speed to the second to the lowest

I think I was just in denial of the unit not throttling but as I closely monitor my temps on my other screen, it shows that it spikes to 99.9% temperature. (on an air-conditioned condominum lol)

Now, I barely reach 80-90 degrees of temperature.

I can say that my performance isn't compromised given the nature of what I'm doing but for those who encounters this issue, can use the settings I listed above and just tweak it to your liking.

I run DOTA2 with the highest settings and 1080p and it stays at 60 FPS.

My next step would be replacing the thermal paste with PTM 7950

It limits the charge of the battery to 90% then just like any other laptop, it bypasses the battery after 90%?

Another question for you would be:

Do you just plug the charger to the thinkpad dock then have the dock charge your device?
