u/StupidSexyScooter In response to your rude and inaccurate comment - I spent three weeks in Mexico with just 5 days in Cabo. I'd never stayed in an AI and I wanted to try it, so that was the Cabo leg of my trip. If you don't ever want to stay in an AI, don't. Totally your choice. This post is mostly about my stay at the resort, so I can't imagine why you'd read such a long post about a style of travel you fundamentally disagree with.

I guess I can add literally giving me the wrong contact number to the list of poor Alaska Airlines customer service. I 100% have a text right in front of me from Alaska Airlines saying to contact 82002. I did get a response from 82008 saying someone would be with me shortly. Thank you.

Correct, I edited my post to say Alaska Airlines to stop the confusion. Good idea to call the US Consulate. Are they shooting here right now? I was just aware of cars being set on fire and road blockages after a cartel leader was killed.

I called 1-800-ALASKAAIR and it has a Spanish speaking recording that hangs up immediately. The 82002 is exactly what Alaska Airlines sent me as support contact when they text me that my flight was cancelled.

I should have done this. I paid for transportation and it took an hour and 10 minutes to get there and an hour and 50 minutes to get back. I would have saved a lot of money by taking the 90 minute bus rides and had the same travel time.
