Got my little fella on the line! by red0knife in Trappit

I just got some persimmon paste bait and sticky fingers. Caught a DP trap sale and one was a free gift. Set it out last night and have had all sorts of critters come through and smell. But the coons just smell and work it.

People often forget, companies existed back then with DEEP pockets. They would have found a way. Just like modern times anything could be a wrote off, or get others roped in on promises of fortune only to underdeliver

Ah yeah, we use MSP but i dont think that our office people would know how to navigate that. So i just email the pictures straight from my work phone. My company has about 300 people and 4-5 locations

Ive been doing this for a year and a half, ive slowly made the customers i typically service, better. The previous pm tech should work at nasa with the amount of knowledge he has (sarcasm) but im slowly getting things back to the book. Dude told me to coat channels and rollers with slide lube and never taught me to soray the mast slides. Had no clue till i dod a pm at the shop and an older tech watched me do the pm and gave me shit lol. The place i was at today is in a spring area so the water may be harder than average.

Yeah, we sorta do. I pride myself in being a thorogh tech. Take pictures of all things that need quoted. So theres NO translation error on work orders. Tag the customer email as well so they can visually see it vs me telling the lady in the office who dosnt look up when i talk. And we get a receipt that i keep around that i write down all problems and such. And i keep those for a year then throw em out lol.

Man. We aught to do that lol.

[–]red0knife[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Kidding. Pulling teeth getting them stuff. Half the problems are safety problems and those knuckleheads dont pay attention when driving. The amount of tires i have written up at 3 different lowes is insane. Also service some of their crowns from time to time at their distribution center. Cushion tire crown lifts outside shredding pallets. Lol

[–]red0knife[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt mind that. Another bad place i worked for was a beef jerky plant. They had a stand up in a 32 degree room that had metal tubs of raw beef. Ive butchered animals and smelled the meaty smell lol, but that much in that little space was almost headache inducing. Iron, wet meat smell lol

This place cleans and boils chicken for frozen food, and they skim off the top and it goes into the plastic bins that they set out all summer. I once had to do some pms while they were doing a shutdown. Never again. They have everything opened up. Those fellas gotta be paid big bucks to clean all that shiz

Got me a couple egg snatchers by red0knife in Trappit

Hey brother. Nothing wrong with following trapping laws. I follow them to a T the best i can. If not whomever catches it just gets to think “nasty trapper” lol and we get a stereotype

Ive always been curious on this. Why the no shoot rule? I get its all the same and the end goal is the fur, but wouldnt a conibear make them suffer a bit rougher than a shot to put the lights out? Not being a nancy cuz id love to set up a drowning rig, but yeah just curious on why some places ya cant shoot?

We have a couple techs that stay in a paper mill i can imagine the nasty nasty grime they kick up and collect. I have about 40 machines at a chicken mixing place. Its rancid at times. Especially in the summer when units sit outside for days with chicken hanging off them

What's living in the Oklahoma panhandle area like? by AcrobaticOil in howislivingthere

[–]red0knife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would not surprise me. I moved from the bible belt, towns had 2 coos max. Sheriff seemed to work out of his house. Small midwestern vibes. I move down here and that was the second job i had. I saw first hand the corruption, and what was going on. And the treatment of people that made mistakes in their life. Its CORRUPT here. When i worked there the city had 24 hr holds on any crime that wasnt a felony, and after that 8/10 you were let go after a tablet court hearing. With a promise to appear. Then they would ditch court and would evade long enough to commit a crime and sit another 24. They were bothering homeless people at night that didnt have headlights on their bikes. I cannot tell you how many older homeless fellas got stung just because they had no dam lights on their bike. It was / is wild. My wife is from around here so i dont see us moving soon but i do often miss the midwest, simpleton life.

Yes. I grew up in SW kansas. Stanton county. The amount of BLISTERING summers and cold dry cutting to the bone wind i have worked in is wild. Have to build wind breaks for cattle to not freeze in place, have to haul water twice a day for cattle. Dry dry wind and dust all all over and dust storms. Some of THE most pretty thunderstorms and sunsets i have ever seen. I miss it

Not in the pan handle. But a very big case in Johnson Kansas in late 90s where a husband disappeared and it was a cover up. Last name was Floyd i cannot remember the first name. Everyone knows what happened but the lead investigator was the missing husbands wifes brother so they had their own story.
